Surely this article should be headed "internationals" - who ever uses the word "internationalists" to refer to football players? - fchd 15:30, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

I would usually use "internationalists" ahead of "internationals". But maybe that's just me. One thing I was thinking is that it should maybe be titled List of Rangers F.C. internationalists though. WATP  (talk)(contribs) 15:36, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Rangers F.C. internationals implies Rangers' playing international games. The article began its life at Rangers F.C. internationals, but I moved it, in line with the section heading in the main Rangers article. - Dudesleeper · Talk 19:39, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Players needing checked

So far - Jean-Alain Boumsong and Marcus Gayle. Both of their international careers on their articles took in the time they spent at Rangers, but I've not been able to find out if they actually played during that time. WATP  (talk)(contribs) 20:20, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Jimmy Gordon is another. Seems quite likely he played for Scotland at some point in his Rangers career, but no confirmation. [1] WATP  (talk)(contribs) 20:27, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
  • Sebastián Rozental - had 20 caps before Rangers, received another 7. Article mentions him being in or around the national team when he signed for Rangers but his injury may have prevented him playing. WATP  (talk)(contribs) 21:37, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Rangers F.C. internationalistsList of Rangers F.C. international footballers — As mentioned above by fchd, the word "internationalists" is extremely uncommon when referring to footballers. The article title I am suggesting avoids the ambiguity that would be caused by "Rangers F.C. internationals" and is also a much more likely search term than "Rangers F.C. internationalists". —PeeJay 23:06, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Support move to List of Rangers F.C. international footballers as I have an objection to the use of the term "internationalists". Punkmorten 06:53, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Support move to List of Rangers F.C. international footballers as I have never heard the term "internationalists" used in UK football ChrisTheDude 07:46, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Support move to List of Rangers F.C. international footballers. I initially assisted the move to the current name, because my peabrain at the time didn't think of international footballers instead of internationals (the latter possibly being a confusing term). - Dudesleeper · Talk 11:47, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Support move. I don't think i have ever heard of this word before in this context. The new title is more specific and follows the conventions at WP:FOOTY. Woodym555 19:33, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Support move to List of Rangers F.C. internationalists to emphasise that it is indeed a list, and as I have no objection to the use of the term "internationalists". WATP (talk)(contribs) 23:14, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
