Who wants to put macrons in this article? WhisperToMe 04:00, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- OT question, but aren't macrons for long vowels only in modified Hepburn? kelvSYC 21:21, 28 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- I have added macrons already. fnfd 09:47, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
Translations
Is there any way to optimize the tables to make room for a direct translation of the Japanese titles for each episode? I realize there's not much room now...
On that note, I'm going to try finishing the transliteration (and doing the translation) for the Hosou episodes. If anyone doesn't want the translations (for consistency) they can take them out. Azure Haights 15:09, Oct 29, 2004 (UTC)
As the only major editor of this article, I was thinking that what we can do is the same thing for Futurama: a season-by-season summary (eg. Pokemon (anime) season 1), where the more detailed information (such as an episode summary, a translation of titles, etc). would be stored. Your thoughts? kelvSYC 04:32, 30 Oct 2004 (UTC)
I belive that there is enough space for the English translations even when the dub title has been placed. 207.200.24.241 had already did so for the battle frontier season. Though I'm not sure if it looks messy. fnfd 04:49, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
My experience says, there should be no kanji in the Japanese episode titles, at least not in the eps. 1-119 that I have seen. Also, some of the episode titles have been grossly mistranslated and I am going to try to fix that from my own listing (only when the titles are seriously wrong, I'm not going to replace everything with my own). -uso.
Banned episodes
Anyone with information on the banned episodes, mainly media copies of the Japanesse versions, dubbed or not, is encouraged to contact me.
The ones i've been trying to hunt down with no success include "Holiday At alcolpoco", with the infamous swimsuit contest with James, the Safari zone episode with the gun-loving sheriff, the banned Jynx episodes, and the one I know i'll probably never find, any copy of Electric Soldier Porygon, with strobes.
Again, i'm looking for media files of these episodes. I've been looking for years, so any help is appriciated. Coolgamer 01:21, Apr 29, 2005 (UTC)
For the Electric Soldier Porygon episode try Ebay type in "Pokemon the banned trace episode".
- You could also just download a filesharing program and search for them there. I'm using eDonkey right now and I've managed to track down most of them. 82.217.240.47 17:52, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

- Same here. I now got the Safari Zone episode, the 'unhealthy' Porygon episode, Tower of Terror and the Ice Cave. I still haven't managed to get my hands on the beach and the Jynx episodes though.

Squares
Am I the only one who sees squares for the Japanese titles?
You need to install the Japanese font. Coolgamer 15:06, May 19, 2005 (UTC)
ERROR
On the episode guide, some of the english episode titles of episodes AG79-AG87 are out of order alittle, because the english title of episode AG78 is missing, need to correct that...
Brazilian titles
Why is it important to have Brazilian titles for the episodes? It's seems pointless to include such information.
episode 1-276
I redid the episodes 1-276 to include Kanji.. :)
きみ き ポケモン!君に決めた!
Is everyone ok with the episodes (1-276) be done with Kanji??
The problem is that the original titles were in kana, so it loses a bit in the translation. kelvSYC 08:09, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
So are we going to leave the kanji or change it to kana???
yes; were keeping them
- Sign your posts with four tildes. It's rude not to do so here at Wikipedia.
The kanji makes it clearer to the adult reader what the title is, but the all-kana names are techinically the correct ones (exception: there is only one Pocket Monsters episode title with kanji), as the series was intended for children who may not have knowledge of how to read kanji. There's a tradeoff involved - clarity vs. accuracy. Note that this is pretty much moot for Advanced Generation, as those titles have involved both kanji and kana. kelvSYC 06:26, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
Advanced Generation Episode number
The "AG#" row should be moved between "E#" and "Romaji Transcription" instead of being combined with "J#"? It looks messy mainly for "Pokémon: Advanced" and "Pokémon: Advanced Challenge" (fnfd 07:38, 7 November 2005 (UTC))
- (fnfd 08:04, 7 November 2005 (UTC)) I noticed that it takes lesser horizontal space and it looks neater than before.
- fnfd : P.S, I noticed that there is no Japanese version of List of Pokémon episodes.
Romaji transcriptions
Romaji transcriptions are ment to be in Japanese, not the English word for it as it is supposed to be romanization of Japanese words (even if the word is originated from English). For example, "バトル" is supposed to be "batoru" not "battle" and I see a lot of this kind of errors from J#2 all the way to J#409/AG#131 and H1 to H14. (Think of Romaji transcriptions as a way to help to say in Japanese with a Japanese accent)
- fnfd 17:16, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
WP:MOS is unclear on this issue, and it is not uncommon when using kana to represent loanwords that the romaji transliteration be the actual words that they are supposed to represent (many subtitled DVDs do follow this convention). Thus the proper translation should be "battle", "piment", "arbeit", etc. kelvSYC 05:59, 15 November 2005 (UTC)
IMPORTANT
Why aren't these episodes numbered (US)
- Rollout! Loving Donfwan!
- Disorderly Melee! Pokemon Contest - Kinagi Convention! (Part 1)
- Disorderly Melee! Pokemon Contest - Kinagi Convention! (Part 2)
Are they skipped?
--(unsigned comment by 207.200.34.179 on 2006-02-01)
Only time will tell as the 2 episodes before those episodes listed has not yet aired on KidsWB. (most likely within the next 1-3 weeks.) For now they are numbered accordingly assuming that they will be aired.
--fnfd 16:41, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
Now it is confirmed that KidsWB won't air the above episodes, but should the dub numbering for AG114-116 be there or not? If so what should the numbering be? I have heard that the U.K. airs those episodes and there is even an english dub title for the episodes. --fnfd 07:53, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
What! Are you serious... They might well just skip the Grand Festival too.... What about Haruka-chan's saigo no Kontesuto Taikai!? (207.200.34.177 16:13, 8 February 2006 (UTC))
I don't think the skipped episodes should have numbers, it says right there:
The English episode numbers are based on their first airing either in syndication or on the WB Television Network.
I think in other countries "Love at First Flight" aired in its proper slot, as did "Get The Show on the Road!" and "A Ruin with a View". So I'm removing the dub numbers for May's contestMatty-chan 03:29, 13 February 2006 (UTC)
Kids' WB! airing eps
Well, we'll wait and see if they air. When Kids' WB! airs them and they are as out of order as ToonZone.net says, they must be changed.
Matty-chan 04:06, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
AG E# mixed up?
The E# for the beginning of the Advanced Generation seems mixed up. There's no way that the first 2 episodes are 240 and 241. Can someone look up and fix the errors? Kengbeng 04:20, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
Reply to above
When Kids' WB! aired the series, they aired the first two Advanced eps as a "sneak peek" on March 15, 2003, to promote the releases of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. Matty-chan 04:36, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
Pokemon ???
Someone placed this Pokemon episode list? Is it real??? (66.25.132.168 01:14, 16 February 2006 (UTC))
- No. It seems that someone changed some the english translation of the japanese title of season 6 (very obvious) and probaly used babelfish translaton for the jap titles.Matty-chan has now already removed them. --fnfd 09:50, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
Cleanup?
Ok, this article contains, as far as I know, everything from the very first episode till now. Every episode so far with their numbers, the Japanese title, Romaji transcription and translation, English title, all categorised. So why is this still tagged as 'cleanup'? What can possibly be improved on it? 82.217.240.47
- Good point. Shouldn't that tag be removed by now? 145.92.201.120 13:16, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
-
- It's removed now. --fnfd 14:09, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
May's contest revealed!
