[edit] KEEP THE HEADING/DISCUSSION ON THIS LIST

This is primarily addressed to Ragnarok Addict, who deleted this list's introduction 2 wks ago. After RA deleted the intro describing how to identify CD-ROM games and why the list is useful, a handful of additions were made by careless users. I believe ALL these additions WERE ERRONEOUS (DVD games!). I know this because I own nearly all the games added and they are definitely not on CD-ROM.

Another good reason to keep the introduction is because this list survived a somewhat contentious Articles For Deletion request and that introduction was very useful in justifying this listing.

I will fetch the old list introduction later today and re-add it. If someone wants it deleted, first DISCUSS it on this page! Thanks. Rory77 21:52, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 2007.10.23 Modification

I noticed a game called 'Zorro' in the list, but to my knowledge there's no such game for the PS2. And it linked to the article on Zorro, the character, anyway. Since there is a game called 'The Shadow of Zorro' by Dreamcatcher that was made for the PS2 and PC, so I put that instead. Chris411 02:58, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Biohazard Code: Veronica

Someone please confirm whether this JP game is actually CD-ROM. It seems strange since the US & EU versions are on DVD and are based on the Dreamcast 'COMPLETE' version which is on 2 GD-ROMS (equivalent to 3 CD-ROMs!)

[edit] Notes & Questions on this list.. (After studying EACH edit since list creation)

  • I removed Championship Surfer because: A game by this name was released on PS1. A PS2 version was ANNOUNCED, but according to various sites CANCELED. So this can't really be called a CD-ROM game. (Sunny Garcia Surfing was apparently the sequel to the PS1 game and took its place and is ON THE LIST)

DUPLICATES ON ORIGINAL LIST:

  • ESPN X-Games Skateboarding & X-Games Skateboarding (ONLY USA) (done)
  • Sega Superstars & Eye Toy: Sega Superstars (done)

OTHER:

  • Mister Mosquito was released as "KA" in JP (added)

WERE THESE VALIDLY REMOVED??:

  • Sega Ages 2500 Vol.18: Dragon Force <<POSSIBLY INADVERTENT, the OTHER 18 games in this series remain on list!>>
  • High Heat Major League Baseball 2004 (yes, was a DUPLICATE entry removed by Ragnarok Addict, see below)
  • Jurassic Park Operation Genesis <Questionable, done by Kungfuadam before closing "prod" to delete article>
  • MX World Tour (yes, was a DUPLICATE entry removed by Ragnarok Addict, see below)
  • RPG Maker 2 (yes, was a DUPLICATE entry removed by Ragnarok Addict, see below)

UNCERTAINTY I'm requesting assistance verifying whether the following added games (most done anonymously) are on CD-ROM & in labeling the REGIONS that are:

OTHER: (add separate section for these utilities/addons CDs) (DONE)

  • DVD Remote It had drivers for the DVD drive and was bundled with the offical Sony Remote
  • Final Fantasy XI & PlayOnline and Tetra Master disks
  • HDD Utility Disk

[edit] Ragnarok Addict additions 2006.06.11 & 12

Ragnarok Addict added the below games in a single massive edit. ARE THESE MOSTLY EUROPEAN? PLEASE UPDATE THESE GAMES AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. At least 2 are NOT CD-ROM in US version.

TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE THESE 6 GAMES ARE ONLY JAPANESE
(US version appends International to title & EU version is Pro Evolution Soccer with "#" minus 4):

Please, put to us under investigation the titles "Paparazzi (EU)" and "7 Sins", witch I think are in CD too. Tank so much.
