I always mesds up the tables so I won't even add to to them, but missing is:

  • Newark Earthworks-Ohio's prehistoric monument (2006)
  • Third Friday of every October-Ohio Poetry Day (1938)
  • Buckeye Chuck-Ohio's State Groundhog (1979)
  • Ghana-Herb Capital of Ohio (1972)

And then we have to wait to see what the amphibian is, the race is between the salamander and bullfrog.

No prob Step. I'll get the other stuff in there when I get a bit of time to sit down and do it (probably late tonight). Oddly enough, when I took Ohio History in 7th grade(do they still teach that in schools back home?), I seem to remember that the Large Mouth Bass was (at least at one time) the official State fish. Yesterday, I discovered Walleye as the unofficial fish, but in 2000 , the Smallie was nominated and pending. After 8 years though, I imagine that they've given up. Rye. Last time I had Ohio history was in 4th grade, and I won't take it again til next year earliest (9th), but most likely looking at not hitting it til 10th. What a shame. Edit:To add,

Step, I'm thinking at this point, we have enough on the article as far as major sections go. The remaining items on the list (as they are a bit more obscure, due either to being more recent or less prominent) I'm thinking of a subsections headed Other and perhaps an unofficial one too (although I'm hesitant, as that might leave a lot of wiggle room for vandals and the like), or something like that... meanwhile, if you want to keep sourcing info for the references, by all means please do. [edit] State Slogan

I can't find any reference online to an official state slogan. I found the Transportation and Travel slogans of "Ohio, the Heart of it All" and "Ohio, so much to discover". But not a reference anywhere to a official slogan??§tepshep • ¡Talk to me! 21:06, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

I'll dig around... I found one or two leads the other night, but it was pretty late and I was kind of spent by then. This project will get done at some point though... there's a lot of stuff to do still, and I'm sure there will be quite a bit of editing to do before it looks right.
