Yet another nickname list. I included American football and Canadian football together because they are similar (Cdn football is the essentially the same as US football except it's colder, has weirder rules, and the salaries are smaller but more colourful). SigPig 02:45, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Neutrality

Remarks like "not the '99 version." for Dan Marino or "the greatest WR in NFL history, who played for the greatest team in NFL history, the San Francisco 49ers" for Jerry Rice make this article seem rather playful.

I'd suggest removing those for the sake of clarity.
