[edit] Scientists, Engineers and Mathematicians
Sorry for flouting convention here. However, it did occur to me that, for such a wide variety of representation in different arenas of life, it would be beneficial to create a list of individuals that have made a variety of contributions or who currently live and work within the science and technology fields. Some statistics on the level of academic ability and merits of, for example, Indian Scientists and Engineers who go to work in America would be an interesting idea. Perhaps some comparison with Chinese and American equivalents (clearly given in good taste) would be instructive.
[edit] Comprehensive?
Is this list meant to be comprehensive (i.e., everyone who is notable?) Guettarda 22:19, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] change title to "List of Non Resident Indians"
I suggest you consider changing the title. I doubt most non-Indians will recognize "NRI" -- this article will likely get more readers if it has a more realily understood title (and more inward links from other articles).
Just a thought. --A. B. 21:55, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] General Cleanup
I've begun to judiciously remove entries which are redlinked or have no articles. A person should be notable in order to appear on this list. Note that being director/president of a notable company does not automatically confer notability. --NeilN talk ♦ contribs 00:04, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Is there any reason why the United Arab Emirates section shouldn't be massively pared down? Wikipedia is not a directory. --NeilN talk ♦ contribs 00:17, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
