Hes not one of the original animate guys from what i can tell, he was thrown in there for a reference to Kyon from the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, he is pretty much an animated version of Tomokazu Sugita.

(sorry for not signing my other comments) I disagree with that, because unlike the other animate works, he actually means something and unlike the the other guest characters like Aya Hirano, he actually interacts with Meito Anisawa. Goatshi 21:20, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

I think adding a section on celebrety cameo appearances is bording on fan cruft since they really aren't characters from this series, but anime-counterparts of real-life people. One example of this, though, is Minoru Shiraishi, but unlike them, actually is viewable as one of Konata's classmates and Akira's assistant in Lucky Channel, and has many more appearances than Aya (one very brief shot in episode 15) and Clerk Sugita (2 breif apperances in separate episodes).--十八 22:50, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

the offical english animate website states that his name is Anizawa with a "z" not an "s" it is also spelt with a "z" on the anime news network [2]Goatshi 20:23, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Be that as it may, his name on the Lucky Star Japanese wiki page is listed as "Anisawa", even though the link to his article lists it as "Anizawa". afk, the group subbing Lucky Star, also lists it as "Anisawa" in the credits. Perhaps they deliberately slightly altered his name for Lucky Star so it wouldn't be exactly the same.--十八 21:49, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
in the link i put above the animate usa site, has his name spelt with a "s" in the begining of the page for a few times too but when on his character thing it is spelt with a "z"...Goatshi 23:21, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Well the difference from Anisawa with Anizawa is just a dakuten on the "sa", and the characther is too much similar. IIRC, even the clerks were the same as the ones in the Animate OVA Linkinstreet 11:36, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Nothing to do with anything really but why are most of the the characters left handed? Strange, as left handers make up only 10% of the population.

I know!! why is almost everyone left handed? and does the handedness really nessessary in this article? who cares if they're left handed or not? if this handedness is really important to fictional anime characters, why not put handedness in ALL fiction and non-fiction people in wikipedia? anyone agree? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.11.73.232 (talk) 12:15, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
In the manga, the writer claims that she had always liked having her characters left handed as it makes them unusual. So when she was asked to fill-in by writing few episodes for Comptiq magazine, she naturally made all characters (at that time) left handed. As she was only filling in and manga artists are generally given a large degree of freedom in their creativity, she ended up creating a cast of left handed characters. All right handed characters were conceived later or have lesser roles with the only notable exception being Yui Narumi.--Revth (talk) 08:35, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Removal of a line from Konata's entry

I removed the line:

She often gives false information to her family, thus making her father believe that Kagami and Tsukasa are shrine maidens.

While the first part may be correct (though I can't think of an example), the second is not; the Hiiragi family are indeed the keepers of their family shrine, and Kagami and Tsukasa do work as shrine maidens when they're needed to. (It appears that the oldest sister is more of a full-time shrine maiden, as she has gone with her father (who is the... priest? not sure of the nomenclature for Shinto) to dedicate building sites and so on.)

If someone wishes to put an amended version of this line back into the article, I suggest you find someplace besides where it was -- it was breaking up the flow from the lines commenting on Konata's Haruhi fandom to the comment about their shared voice actresses.

It's not that Konata gave a false information. She only gave what she considers to be the "important" information to Sojiro. She has a very otaku view of the world focusing on "characteristics". Sojiro likewise has an otaku view of the world. So when Konata told her father about her friends, she naturally told him the otaku-influenced view of Kagami and Tsukasa which would have been something like "Kagami is a tsundere miko. Tsukasa is a klutz miko who looks like Akari Kamigishi." It's also likely that Konata simplifies and exaggerates to a certain extent as Yutaka was very intimidated by Kagami at first and couldn't tell what Konata had told her. --Revth (talk) 09:20, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Unsourced Statement in Meito Anisawa

"In 2002, Gainax produced a single original video animation, where Meito Anisawa and his fellow employees are the focus." If you check the Gainax article for OVAs, you'll see that there aren't any for 2002. Unless there is and someone would like to update it. Dio Only Uses a Knife (talk) 05:40, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Baindai Entertaiment have used this page as a source for their Lucky Star website. Note in particular their Yukari Takara page where they have accidentally included the next section header ("Meito Anisawa.") at the bottom (in case they fix this, screenshot.) Funny, I thought they did too when I looked at it due to the extra bio info added such as their birthday, blood type, and what hand is the dominant hand, not to mention their birthplace too. And while I realize that all this was lifted from some official Lucky Star material, it still made me wonder since I've never seen an English anime website go into such detail for character bios before, and Wikipedia's pretty much the only place you'd find such info that's easily accessible to English speakers. Although I find it even stranger how only Yukari's and Hiraku's bios are not only the longest ones, but are the only ones copy/pasted from Wikipedia word-for-word.--十八 10:13, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

After playing the game, I found a lot of information about Yamato needs to be added and replaced. However, it is something out of the ordinary, which completely counter the Lucky Star slice of life atmosphere. Should I add the out of the ordinary informations? While I agree that using a single image would save on loading times, removing every other picture from the page was a little counter-effective. Now there are many characters who aren't represented with a picture. [edit] Character Ages

Is it just me, or are the character ages all over the place? For example, the article says Patricia is 17, but she's only a first-year, and it says that Ayano is a year younger than Kagami, yet she's in her class. I believe the case in Japan is when an exchange student comes to the high school, they put them in the earliest year possible to save them some stress, which explains Patty's age. As for Ayano's, I'm not sure. Raven23 (talk) 22:23, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
I've not got anything to hand, but looking at my snaps the Guide Book doesn't state ages, only birthdays, but the DVD booklets do so can be used for verification (when I have them to hand and assuming I remember). Shiroi Hane (talk) 14:50, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
