Bellocq certainly was Creole. If a source is needed, Al Rose's book "Storyville, New Orleans" is one. -- Infrogmation 00:42, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] references

when checking out the references for people on this list, need to see that they are truly Louisiana Creole people (or their descendants), not just French Americans who belong on a different list. I looked at some of the articles, and some do not say anything about being Louisiana Creole. Thanks Hmains 03:41, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

They shouldn't say they are "Descendants" of anybody. They need to say that the person themselves is Creole. And on that I agree with you. Mad Jack 04:51, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Armstrong

I removed Louis Armstrong. His family were anglophone uptowners, and IIRC geneological research showed his great grandparents came from Virginia. -- Infrogmation 00:42, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
