Talk:List of Lieutenant Governors of Illinois

[edit] Acting Lt. Gov unknown?
I've changed the silly listing of "unknown" "acting" Lt. Govs. When a Lt. Gov died or succeeded to the Illinois governorship (prior to the 1970 Constitution), then the office was simply vacant. I'm sure the state Senate had provisions for a presiding officer in such a case, but that didn't make said person the "acting Lt. Governor" Unschool (talk) 22:21, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'll try not to be offended by your comment. Maybe "thanks for turning my simple numbered list into a very comprehensive table" would have been more appropriate than calling 3 items silly six months after it was changed. --Dual Freq (talk) 22:27, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

- I use "silly" because I consider it to be inoffensive; maybe I should reconsider my use of the word. Certainly no offense was intended. And yes, of course, you do deserve thanks for doing what I could not have done with the list. Thank you. I suppose I should view your experience as a precursor to the lack of gratitude that I should expect for turning this into this? (Actually, I don't know if others would regard it as an improvement or not, but I do wonder if there will be any feedback from people who have contributed to this page in the past.) Anyway, sorry for rubbing you the wrong way; I do recognize that you're a great editor. Cheers. Unschool (talk) 00:34, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
