[edit] About "Khalifa al-Tilisi"
"Tilisi" or "Tillisi", the subject himself uses the later spelling ("Tillisi") on his website [1] which I originally adopted according to the convention that spelling chosen by the person in question is the preferred spelling whenever possible. I noticed now however that he uses "Kalifa" instead of "Khalifa", so if we follow his preferred spelling we need to change that. Check also the Google search, which in the moment gives 4 results all 4 with "Tillisi", 3 with "Kalifa" and 1 with "Khalifa" [2]. Ahmed Elnagar 14:12, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Criteria ?
Who is worthy of this list ? I am working on the prime ministers / rulers of libya , should i include them ? or are we not including politicians ? Libyan 14:28, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Do include any name that you think is right to include and maybe start dividing up the list on the basis of historical eras or profession...etc.
- I think that a good criterion of whom to include would be how well-known the person in question is either in Libya or internationally (one of them is enough). The list as it stands is so incomplete and maybe even unfair to some non-included personalities, for example poets other than Rafiq al-Mahdawi might be as worthy of inclusion as him if not more.
- While I was looking in categories of Libyan people yesterday I've seen many personalities which already have an article on the English Wikipedia. All these in my opinion automatically qualifies for inclusion in the list and many more others who might not be notable enough to have an article on their own are certainly notable enough to be included in such a list. Well , lets get the list together first then we can divide it , but i think the libyan Politicians should be separated , since there is a category for libyan politicians. Libyan 14:28, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
