[edit] Article size/length

In my opinion this article is too complex. yes I said it. there is too much information here. it seems like much more of a list. I would propose eliminating the photos and just include a much smaller bio, and better wording in the intro. there are links to the individual pages so there is no need to explain it all so much here.--Tainter 21:53, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:12 giovanni teamrocket.jpg

Image:12 giovanni teamrocket.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Information on Gym Leaders

While browsing the wiki, I came across this article. To be honest, it seems to me that telling a player how to defeat a gym leader is not the purpose of Wikipedia. This is confirmed by the policy, WP:NOT#HOWTO. I'll probably monitor this page and if no replies are given, come back and delete the instructions. Thanks Philipwhiuk 17:58, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Lt. Surge?

Why is it assumed he fought in Vietnam? No real reason for it that I can see... 71.149.251.36 (talk) 05:44, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

I've taken a look, and that statement qualifies as original research. I've removed it from the article. MelicansMatkin (talk) 05:50, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
