[edit] Requirements for inclusion
I removed Pat Bosco from the list of faculty. There are many more faculty at K-State more notable than Bosco. I think no faculty member should be included in the list unless she is also the subject of her own wikipedia article. --best, kevin [kzollman][talk] 01:05, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- Generally agreed. Sometimes highly notable faculty are not on Wikipedia (and sometimes non-notable ones are). But that is generally a good rule. As Wikipedia points out, the longer lists get, the less useful they are. I also want to say, as far as KSU football players go, I do not think merely playing in the NFL is sufficient to be notable. I think the player needs to be (i) an All-American at KSU, (ii) an NFL Pro-Bowler, (iii) a first-round pick in the NFL, or (iv) in the KSU Hall of Fame. (Which basically means no-one should be added and Jerametrius Butler should be removed.) Kgwo1972 04:52, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed, maybe I should have said "worthy of a wikipedia article". Either way, I think Bosco is out. Re: Football. That seems a reasonable standard. Listing every football player is redundant because we have a category for that. (Perhaps linking to the category in the list would be a good idea.) --best, kevin [kzollman][talk] 19:06, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
