[edit] Republican Governor in 1820s?

I don't seem to recall the Republican party existing until the 1850s. I don't know what party Govr Kent may have been in, but I'm fairly confident it wasn't the GOP.--Bwryan2006 19:05, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

Ditto John Henry and Robert Wright, serving in the late 1700s/early 1800s, are listed as "Democrats". The Democratic party didn't emerge until after Andrew Jackson's presidency in the 1830s. Wright is listed on his page has being a Democratic-Republican in the Senate, for what that's worth, but somebody needs to figure out their real party affiliations. --Jfruh (talk) 16:14, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ehrlich

I have a question just a general wondering, why was AKA Governor Ehrlich signing documents for the State of Maryland in the year 2001 if he was not elected as Governor until the year 2003? Does anyone have the answer? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 165.247.0.97 (talk • contribs) on 23:39, July 14, 2006.

Ehrlich was a US representative until 2003; he was elected governor in 2002. What do you mean by "signing documents for the State of Maryland"? --Jfruh (talk) 21:10, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Lord Baltimore

When a Lord Baltimore was governor, the list entry should include his title, which was part of his name. I've adjusted this. john k 05:52, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
