Talk:List of Ender's jeesh

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Small inconsistency: In Alai's bit, it says there were three dozen in Ender's Jeesh when he defeated the Buggers. In Vlad's, it says there were only a dozen. Anyone have hard evidence for one or the other? 69.133.103.249 (Dustin_S)

In Ender's game Mazer says three dozen so there must be three dozen. Newboy123 21:32, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Talo Momoe

Wasn't Talo Momoe also part of Ender's jeesh? Ausir 21:45, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

Not sure. I remember Graff stating that out of the three Battle School graduates (Momoe, Bee, and Carnby), Ender was only likely to work well with Carnby, but they might have disregarded Graff's advice and sent Momoe to Command School anyway. hbdragon88
No, Talo was not a part of the jeesh. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bradgwart (talk • contribs) 14:48, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Name confusion

In Empire when they first use jeesh it says: '"We're his jeesh now," said Mingo. Cole knew his Arabic, even when the word was dropped into the midst of Farsi. "his army?"'

My googlefu is apparently weak and i can't find anything to back this up. Somebody wtih more skills or knowledge Arabic wanna confirm this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bradgwart (talk • contribs) 14:48, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jeesh

I think that this book was a great read- though you should use a word other than jeesh as it is confusing- why not just say crew? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.189.4.99 (talkcontribs) 03:35, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure about Ender's Game/Shadow, but in Shadow of the Hegemon, they refer to themselves as the jeesh, so we're just using Card's terminology. hbdragon88 04:38, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
