[edit] Original research

Please, begin adding references when adding information here. Once I finish with the Heroes of the Lance I will focus on the artifacts, but until then, try to keep original research to the minimun. Thanks. -- ReyBrujo 22:53, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Bleh, you deleted your post before I could reply. Anyways, I am adding it here since it may give you some tips: Anything that is not backed up with a link can be considered original research. In your case, Kith-Kanan is the ancestor of Solostaran Kanan, Laurana's father. Somewhere in the books that must be explained, but I right now don't remember that. For now, try to base yourself in information that has already been published, like http://www.dl3e.com/lexicon/13948.aspx this article. Do not copy, that would be copyright violation. Instead, verify that the information you add is not your assumptions, but instead verifiable information coming from reliable sources. No need to delete that information for now, I was just letting you know that, at any time, someone may come and delete the information that hasn't been verified. -- ReyBrujo 23:11, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Sorry I deleted, but I fixed anyways. DoomsDay349 23:15, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] References

This are the books I used to write the updated Wyrmslayer section. I don't know their authors, could someone reference them for me?

Betrayal. DL2: Dragons of Flame. The Annotated Dragonlance Chronicles, Autumn Twilight. The Annotated Dragonlance Chronicles, Winter Night. The Theive's Guild. War of the Lance.

Thanks. DoomsDay349 23:15, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Never mind any of this. I did the references. DoomsDay349 00:51, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wyrmslayer stub

Can the stub be taken off now? (off Wyrmslayer)DoomsDay349 00:51, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

The section is good enough, you can remove the stub from there. -- ReyBrujo 01:14, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Just wanted to let you know, that it isn't Wyrmslayer that popped up in Palanthas. Pg. 262 of the Thieves' Guild states that it is a third sword of the Wyrmslayer/Wyrmsbane set. You may want to rewrite this.--Kranar drogin 22:15, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
Any more info on this third sword? Ddcc 03:04, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
No,it has never popped up again.--Kranar drogin 04:02, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] On Bloodstone

I can't recall any info on it, maybe it should be deleted from this section and incorporated elsewhere so as to get rid of the stub? DoomsDay349 00:53, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Stubs are good. That lets other people know what information is needed. The bloodstone is an artifact Fistandantilus used to drain the life of apprentices (thus extending his own life). If you don't know something, just let it that way until someone else can include more information. -- ReyBrujo 01:13, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Medallion of Faith

What good is even having it posted if there isn't any info on it? Does anyone have even the slightest amount of info so as to put something down for it? DoomsDay349 01:30, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

If it is put here it is because, in some other article, there is a link to the item (like [[List of Dragonlance artifacts#Medallion of Faith|Medallion of Faith]]. As I said, the idea isn't to delete, but to add. Don't delete sections from articles, instead expand them. If you don't know what something is, let someone else fill the information. That is the spirit of Wikipedia. -- ReyBrujo 01:39, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
I wasn't planning on deleting it, only to gather info for it. Is it the Medallion Goldmoon wears? That would give me something to write... DoomsDay349 01:56, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wyrmsbane

I mentioned it in Wyrmslayer article. I don't know much... anyone know, well, anything? DoomsDay349 01:57, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

I'll add some stuff. You can google items that you're not familiar with.ddcc 20:05, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
I did google it, only info about how to use it in D&D came up.DoomsDay349 20:14, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Medallion of Faith/Holy Medallion of Faith

From the dlnexus, there are two types of Medallion of Faiths. One is the medallion of faith that all priests wear. The other is the holy medallion of faith, which is the medallion that crysania wears. I'm guessing that the article means to talk about the holy medallion of faith. Is that right? ddcc 20:36, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Actually, the article was referring to Goldmoon's, because it is being linked from there. Every cleric has a Medallion of Faith (thus, there are 21 different Medallions of Faith). Medallion of Faith have the property of duplicating into any other Medallion. Thus, if a cleric of Mishakal gives a copy of her medallion of faith to a cleric of Paladine, the medallion will turn into a Holy Medallion whenever it touches the cleric's hands. So, I think it is better to revert the changes, and if necessary, create subsections about every of the different medallions. -- ReyBrujo 20:58, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
That'd be quite a few subsections. With that many, it may be good enough for its own article and a link here. And, do the gods of magic have clerics? Or do wizards count as their clerics? If so, do wizards have a Medallion? If they do, then there is 21 Medallions, if not, 18 Medallions. DoomsDay349 21:25, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Once the article reaches a big size, it will be splitted. Article size isn't really relevant for lists like this one. As for clerics of the children of magic, I don't have the sourcebook here, so I can't say. There can be, after all Takhisis gave clerical powers to Priests of Takhisis and magical powers to the Knights of the Thorn. -- ReyBrujo 22:02, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Just checked the Campaign Setting: Clerics on Krynn serve all the deities except the deities of the three moons of magic. So, there are only 18 different medallions. -- ReyBrujo 03:09, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
So, then, do wizard's robes count as their symbol of their god? If so, should there be an article on their robes? Or is some other object used? DoomsDay349 03:22, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
No, while the medallion of faith gives a determined amount of spells to a clerist (in example, protection and light), the robes do not give anything (in example, Dalamar uses runes in his robe to protect himself from lesser spells, while high ranked mages like Raistlin and Fistandantilus used plain robes with no protection, confident in their ability). From what I am reading in the source book, wizards only need their spellbooks to read, and even those are not really blessed as a medallion of faith. -- ReyBrujo 03:36, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bloodstone in D&D

Would adding a section in the bloodstone section on how to use it in Dungeons and Dragons be alright? This site http://www.forgottenlance.com/artifacts/bloodstone.htm, has info on it. DoomsDay349 15:50, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Per What Wikipedia is not, we should not include instruction manuals, guides, etc. -- ReyBrujo 20:16, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Also, any gaming information is copyrighted information, and you can't really re-write game stats in your own words, since you'd still be basically typing out the same information that the copyright is on. --Maelwys 20:26, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Star Jewel

Why does it say that the only mention of this is about Sturm? Kith Kannan had one that he was going to give to Hermathya back in the Elven Nations Trilogy, and then later on when he finds Anya, he tells her that he wished he had his Star Jewel so he could give it to her as a sign of his love for her. This needs to be changed. Magnus 17:45, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
