[edit] Episode missing

In between "Gohan attacks" and "Deja Vu" (episodes 065 and 066 on this list) there is actually another episode, "Piccolo The Super Namek" which is not listed for some reason, and the episode numbers after that is 1 off for all episodes after due to it not being included. The episodes aren't hard to find online, you can search for them and watch them to verify. VegaDark 01:59, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

  • I've now added in the episode, but I only corrected the episode numbers through the end of the Freiza saga, everything after that still needs to change by 1. VegaDark 23:58, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Actually, by adding the Piccolo Episode, you would make the English magna 277 episodes long, and we all know that's not right. Funimation had cut that episode due to its graphicness, because in 65 krillin gets drilled in his chest by freeza, and then Funimation skipped an episode of Krillin getting beat up, going to episode 66. That was the last cut thing from Dragonball Z and all of the other Japenese episodes are 15 ahead from that point on. This is the List of DBZ dubbed episodes, so I do believe that Piccolo, The Super Namek should not be on there...

Well, I watched a dubbed version of this episode online that had the correct voice actors and everything. Maybe they released it with the DVD only? Search dailymotion.com for the episode in question to verify. VegaDark (talk) 06:10, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Maybe that was still the other 'Ocean' dub. Not Funimation.
Kind regards, --MisteryX 06:43, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Quite possibly. But, this page is for all dubbed episodes, not just the Funimation versions (although I realize the particular section I added it in is under the funimation section). It seems rather silly to have an entire list which is identical except for this one episode below the funimation episodes, perhaps the header should be changed instead? VegaDark (talk) 07:05, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I think that is reasonable to do. Since there are (As far as I know) 2 official dubs for DBZ, Ocean and Funimation. If this list is supposed of covering every dubbed DBZ episode then it should include Oceans dub aswell. :) I say give it a go, but I don't know what people of the wiki:DBZ project think. (I am no member. ;) ) Kind regards, --MisteryX 07:21, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
I'm the guy who said, actually, by adding the piccolo episode (balh, balh, blah)i realized that i was wrong, but go here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freeza_Saga and they seperste them by calling them 65A and 65B, i just looked at the episodes on my computer and i realized that

there is a huge gap. This page should have to be called cut or uncut, if you look at the url i put there, because it should be known that there is 276 episodes. (in Japan there's 291, and the ones in english that get cut are the one we are taliking about, 1 in the namek saga, and 15 in the saiyan saga) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 11tino11 (talk • contribs) 14:01, 11 May 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Missing Images

Why did the images from the episodes of sagas 1-14 disappear is it due to copyright issues? Pure interest on my part. UltimateDingbat

[edit] Where are the screenshots

Where the hell are all the screenshots??? How come they all were removed absolutely with no warning? 200.158.184.99

Same question as mine see above. I believe they were deleted as a part of the fair use polciyh but i wont sware by that.UltimateDingbat

I also would like to know where the screenshots are.

Screenshots clutter the article and make it longer than it already is. They are not needed. Wikipedia is not a place for screenshots to be used in that manner. Jezebel Parks 14:57, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

I dont believe they are pointless. I think they help with easy episode recognisation. Help to recognise key moments in finding episodes. Most other shows use them e.g X-Men and Spiderman and they are not seen as clutterUltimateDingbat

I agree with UltimateDingbat, it's easy to find an episode and looks good. I can't seem to find when we had screenshots so I can't revert back.... I'm sick of people deleting parts of articles that's not verified. WHO CARES!??!? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.168.203.189 (talk) 11:33, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Grammar to be used in DBZ articles

I edited the article for some sagas now and I removed a lot of text that sounded more like a story then to an encyclopedia. Let it be the latter at what we are trying to write here. I removed stuff like: Goku finally transforms and with awsome powers he defeats the king of terror: Frieza! As you might see in this example sentence it's full of fanboyism, this page is a episodelist wich should have some small summaries. Not a story. The word 'finally' in the previous example sentence can be left out, same goes for 'awesome powers' and 'king of terror'. That was a good thing right?

Recently someone changed every 'Freeza' into 'Frieza' well since I'm confused about the name written in the dub I dunno what is correct. What exactly is it? :)
Kind regards, --MisteryX 06:48, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Adding on into what I wrote here above, user 24.203.151.22 added a lot of valuable information like dates etc. but changed almost every good episode summary into short stories filled with POV remarks and (as described above) 'fanboyism'. While I was re-editing every summary of a saga I wonder if it is possible to revert it to the old episode list but with all usefull additions in it that were made much later. :) Kind regards, --MisteryX 12:26, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Episode count

Would changing these throw off the ep count? Cuz the ep lists go off the old dub, but thats out of print. The redub is uncut and the ep order is correct now. We should fix that here too.Onikage725

I agree on what you said. The first 67 episodes were re-dubbed by FUNimation, so all 291 episodes have been dubbed in the U.S. So I think the 14 cut episodes from the old dub & the 1 episode cut from the Frieza saga should be added on and the numbering corrected. Schaef Dogg 19:27, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
I'm not too familiar with the format for episode lists, but I can get the ep titles and numbers. I have the two season sets out so far, and I think the insert pamphlet has them listed. Onikage725 20:10, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Episode: Cell's bag of tricks

Not much just edited the description a bit said that he used krillin's destructo disc when it was frieza's (as it could be controlled) and i added he used Tien's multi form which he did along with the good ol special beam cannon :-) ~ Jonoridge

[edit] Episode Descriptions

I was wondering, does anybody think we should do full (or at least more in-depth) descriptions of each episode? For example, episodes 128 to 132 end their descriptions with questions. This seems to me to be irrelevant, as the next episode is right after it. I think it would be more effective and correct if we made descriptions that relate specifically to the episode, and what happens in said episode, rather than have a "blurb" for each episode. Any thoughts? Kennedy (talk) 09:49, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

You would think but then you gotta start posting "Spoilers" everywhere knowing wikipedia it's better to write a summary on the episodes. - Jonoridge
Yes, I took that into account. But Wikipedia is designed to be informative, not a website promoting the show in a way that comes across as trying to hook the user into watching it. We should assume that users have seen the series, and are familiar. Kennedy (talk) 06:56, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Episode continue

I'm going to carry on doing more episode summaries on this page if any are inapproiate feel free to change them or do a better job yourself oh i'm watching all the episodes each time i do them to do a more accurate description :-) Jonoridge 10:52, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

I've just recently watched through them all myself (DB, DBZ, DBGT) so if you want to ask me a question, visit my page or ask here. I'll try check what you're up to when time permits :) Kennedy (talk) 06:40, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Still airing on Toonami

Dragon Ball Z is still airing on Toonami (one episode each Saturday), and is ~34 of the way through the Perfect Cell saga. I'm not sure, however, if it was *not* running for any period of time between 2003 and now, which is why I'm writing this here rather than updating it myself. --Dinoguy1000 Talk 17:37, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

I think when it is mentioned, it is only referring to initial airing seasons, not repeats. Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z are still repeating here in New Zealand. Kennedy (talk) 07:07, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Episode 153

The episodes description for "The Doomsday Broadcast" says that that was the first and only time Future Trunks and Present Trunks ever meet. If anyone remembers, earlier in DBZ, Trunks (Present) was falling out of the sky Future Trunks saved him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Johntallen3 (talk • contribs) 06:53, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

As I recall, there were actually multiple episodes where Present Trunks and Future Trunks interact. However, I don't have any way of verifying this. —Dinoguy1000 17:31, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Sagas

The Saga from episode Bulmas bad day the saga is Genral Blue and The one The Land Of Korin episode is Commander Red Saga Then its not the Tambourine Saga its the King Piccolo Saga then after that Saga is the Piccolo JR. Saga.
