Talk:List of Digimon
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
- Because most of the articles that separate Digimon have are short and stubby, I'm going to merge them in here. This is to prevent them being tagged fancruft and VfD'd. If anyone objects to this, please leave a note here - I'll leave this message up for a few days first. If no one replies I'll assume there are no objections and/or no one cares, and I'll begin the merge. [[User:Premeditated Chaos|PMC]] 21:15, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- There needs to be seperate pages or seperate lists for the Japanese and English names, instead of having a blend of a two, and in some cases, guessing at what the English name for the Digimon would be. I noticed a few Digimon that didn't exist and I removed them, but there's like as not a few more. All the names need to be checked as well, and the 'rumored' Digimon need to be moved into seperate listings, as they're not rumored at all; some are Digimon that became official through contests in Japan, and others are Digimon that only appeared on official drama CDs. Shining Celebi
There should be separate Articles. Oe of the major problems is that several entried lead to the same Digimon, but the specific variation is not even mentioned.

[edit] {{disputed}}
Because it is difficult to filter false information from a wiki of this size, and many times "rumored" and "fan-created" Digimon have appeared, it is important to indicate that this article is disputed, and may not always contain canon, factual information. Numerous times, users of various websites have used this, and other innaccurate websites to cite sources, and it has caused a great deal of difficulty and confusion for the fandom as a whole. WtW-Suzaku 23:50, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
- Which is why they come under a rumoured category. {{disputed}} should not come into this article, but the Digimon articles themselves. x42bn6 Talk 09:05, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] VR
Anyone know what all those VR-* things are? Shiroi Hane 03:29, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
They're Digimon created by Zeed Millenniumon from the data of Digimon he defeated. Shining Celebi 00:42, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fake Digimon
Some of the Digimon listed as "CD Drama Exclusive" aren't real. Slithermon, Decaymon, Shadmon, Rebemon, and maybe Fishermon. The first 4 were 'created' by Omnitor, a guy who used to supply information to the community through WtW Forums. He claimed they were Digimon that would be coming out later, but in reality, they were just things he made up, with the exception of Rebemon, which was based on a mistranslation he did of Löwemon. WtW-Suzaku 23:08, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- So why not just remove them? Shiroi Hane 23:16, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
I heard of some digimon that I think are fake: Vulpimon, Lupynnmon, Lupynndramon, and KaizerLupynnmon. Each is supposed to digivolve from the last. Are these real or fake Digimon?65.223.58.226 23:32, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Those are real. Although why there aren't any pages on them, I don't know.204.147.17.33 22:34, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Then why not add them? Those Digimon seem cool.65.223.58.226 (talk) 22:53, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Kaseidramon
Just been added to the list.. isn't that one of those rumoured Digimon that doesn't actually exist? There's a page here on WP - Kaseidramon (Digital Monsters) - but a lot of the info there smells bogus. Shiroi Hane 10:44, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- That is a real Digimon, I'd like it if somebody would please rebuild the article. It's real. I would if you'd let me. But I can't, seeing as somebody disabled the ability for anonymous users to create articles.

- Every link I have seen says he is fake: http://forums.thenexxus.org/index.php?showtopic=1072 x42bn6 Talk 20:29, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah its fake... ironically that poster in your link is... me... Also notice how the link I posted there said he would appear in either Digimon World 4 or Digimon X-Evolution, he wasn't in either. Nightmare SE 20:56, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

- Kaseidramon is indeed fake. Somebody came along and invented him what must have been some years ago now -- IIRC, he was originally a supposed secret Digimon in Digimon World 3 after you did something or another 99 times (or 999 times, or whatever), and ever since someone -- I suspect the same person -- goes around posting the same stuff that's showed up on Wikipedia that got VFDed a thousand times on various forums and sites. [edit] Other Digital Lifeforms
That is very incomplete. What about the Control Spire Digimon? And those things that live in the dark whirlpool from 02? And Gennai's other forms like jose and hogan (all i can remember) Behemoth (Beelzemon's motorcycle) is alive. I tried to add these before but they got deleted!? Should I add the again? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Educationrecreationinformation (talk • contribs) .
- That part of the list doesn't really need to be expanded, and if anything, could be removed, since this is a list of Digimon. And Behemoth's article was merged with Beelzemon's article. -- Ned Scott 21:50, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Bun (V-Tamer) and Naa-chan (02 CD Drama)
Theyre Digimon too arent they? Shouldnt they be added to the list? I will if there arent any objections.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Educationrecreationinformation (talk • contribs) .
[edit] Digimon stuff
Chronomon does exist, and here are some game screenshots of him: this is Destroyer Mode and this is Holy mode Also ,Des-Ogremon and Des-Airdramon are the same digimon, the two names resulting from a dispute between two fansites as to what this guy's name translates as. I personally think he looks like he could be Des-AirdramonwithOgremon'sheadmon, but one of the two names has to go. Belgium EO 15:58, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- If you like, I can scan the page in question, which *does* say Death Airdramon. The owner of the now-defunct Digital Empire never was a translator -- he relied on people's submissions, which unfortunately caused a great deal of problems. The reason his head is weird is because he has Deathmon's head, as all the C'mon Digimon Death- Digimon do. Shining Celebi 13:02, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Numerical Digidex, listing moved from article
This really is just supposed to be a list of Digimon by alphabetical order, so I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use it to repeat Digimon already listed under some other method. I've moved it from the article to here: -- Ned Scott 00:05, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New Savers Digimon
If there are no objections i will ad biostegomon, biothunderbirdmon, and bioquetzalmon, gizmon, gizmon AT, and gizmon XT —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Educationrecreationinformation (talk • contribs) .
- With the exception of Gizmon, the others should just use the existing articles that they apply to. i.e. biothunderbirdmon to Thunderbirdmon, etc. -- Ned Scott 23:06, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Could you generate L-ToyAgumon and Kaseidramon?
Could somebody please create the articles L-ToyAgumon and Kaseidramon (or Marsdramon)? And whichever one of the latter, you should make the other a redirect to it.
71.34.243.96 01:52, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Jon Armor Mode
- Kaisedramon is not real. L-ToyAgumon is ShadowToyAgumon. I've never heard of Marsdramon... Nightmare SE 02:04, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

- Kasei is Japanese for Mars, so same thing. Shiroi Hane 17:41, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Order of digidex
Although sorting the digimon alphabetically is useful, I think sorting numerically is also useful. There is a set of number currently used in the US version D-T and some other dataform digivoce being sold some years ago. I have some of the information of that set of numbers and I can add them soon. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Maxno (talk • contribs) 16:22, 17 February 2007 (UTC).
- That wouldn't cover every Digimon. Nightmare SE 17:07, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] how many
how many digimon are there? i don't want to count--Homei 15:38, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
- On this list, there are 864 although there are some disputable ones like Gennai. Google might help. x42bn6 Talk 19:14, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Question
Why are some Digimon names in red? (For examle- Gizamon and DotAgumon) Also- what is with the dot Digimon? 65.223.58.226 23:29, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Some red articles are ones that have not been created yet or that have been deleted (many articles are being moved right now to Digimon Wiki). The dot Digimon, IIRC, are simply apart of a specific Digimon video game. -- Ned Scott 07:03, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. Yeah, I was looking for Gazimon earlier and it was in red. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.147.17.33 (talk) 22:27, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Why the move to Wikia? What's wrong with them being here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.111.5.72 (talk)
I think it's to clean up the article... and it is pretty messy right now...65.223.58.226 (talk) 22:51, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
