[edit] Newtypes?

Should we add Newtypes in this page sense there are some in the Cosmic Era Croatnik 02:13, 20 Jun 2005

I'd say no. Newtypes are not a "human enhancement". Newtype abilities something a character is born with. Of course, SEED mode/SEED factor probably doesn't belong here either, because it's also something characters are born with. Red XIV 06:35, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Okay, I guess there's really not a better place to put Cosmic Era Newtypes than in this article, any more than there is for SEED mode. It could be argued that SEED mode is significant enough to merit a separate article, I don't think the same can be said about CE Newtypes. There's a lot of fan interest in the subject, but it seems to me to be quite disproportionate to the actual importance of Newtype abilities in the series. That said, I think that if Newtypes are to be included in this article, we should make it clear that it's more than just fans "suspecting" that Fukuda is "hinting" that some characters are Newtypes. He's actually stated outright that Mu La Flaga and Rau Le Creuset are Newtypes. The logical conclusion from that statement is of course that other Cosmic Era characters who demonstrate the same Newtype-style abilities seen from Mu and Rau are also Newtypes. Red XIV 22:56, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

We should Actually Change that to the fact that if anything they are Cyber-Newtypes as their enhancement occured before they were born so they aren't prone to the insanity that most Cyber-Newtypes suffer from. They should infact remove all reference to it as being True Newtypes.

There are no newtypes in the CE timeline, it is officially annouced by Sunrise. Sunrise and Bandai adorpted a new term Spacial Awareness ability (空間認識能力). It is still used in the Sept. 2005 Newtype magazine Seed-Destiny data file in page 12 stating Mu's Spacial awareness ability is not necessary on the new generation dragoons due to the new improved quantum interface. (量子インターフェースを改良した新世代のドラグーンシステムを装備し、ムウのような空間認識能力がなくともドラグーンを使用できる。)
Whoever wanted to add in the term newtype, get an official source and show proof, otherwise it is just Original research and should not be put into a wiki article. MythSearcher 08:11, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
The term Newtype is UC specific per gundamofficial.com Those who ignore official sources and keep using their own speculation are nothing but vandals. MythSearcher 08:18, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
There are no reliable sources regarding there are Newtypes in the CE timeline.
  1. The characters never mentioned such word
  2. The official website uses no such word, both Japanese and English
  3. The official data files uses no such word
  4. The only source given by unregister supporters is merely a blog translating another blog entry stating the director said the term in a situation that cannot be tracked. The original untranslated blog entry obviously has an extra sentence after the said paragraph of the so called "evidence" of the said annonymous users (search for newtype to find the article) and the original untranslated blog (search for NT for said paragraph), the original paragraph containing the last sentence 当初の企画の名残。 which means This was the original plan, and is not translated into the said evidence of CE timeline having NTs. This renders the evidence not reliable, AND proves the NT idea was not implemented into the story due to a change of plans. But of course, blog entries are not reliable sources anyway and thus I did not use it as a source in any article.
  5. All the related technology in written source states High spacial awareness instead
Also, all the said people who have similar ability in the CE timeline are not human enhancements but naturally occuring ability pass on from generations. (which further disproves they are newtypes since newtypes in the UC timeline do not pass on their newtype abilities, a newtype clone has to be artificially enhanced to obtain the ability while anybody can be applied with same technology to obtain the newtype ability like Four Murasame.)

[edit] Plagarism

The second paragraph of the SEED mode section was copied word for word from the GundamOfficial.com glossary entry on the subject. I really shouldn't have to say that such plagarism is a bad thing. Red XIV 06:35, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Final fate of extended humanity?

What happened to the Atlantic Federation's Biological CPU project after all Extended humans were killed? --206.255.32.51 21:03, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Too early to say at this point. By the time GSD is over, we might have a better idea 68.47.175.214 30 June 2005 13:24 (UTC)

I don't know what that phrase means. Hackwrench 17:15, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New Discovery

Where does this thing come from??? - Plau 15:45, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

EDIT: Until someone explains, I'm removing it. - Plau 16:41, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

It is about the cosmic era, where the animie gundam seed and gundam seed destiny take place-R1e2u3b4e5n6 03:55, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Natural numbers

Should naturals really redirect here? If so, can someone add an appropriate disambiguation line to send people (like me) off to natural number. If not, I'll redirect directly to natural number. Thanks.--Malcohol 11:12, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] SEED mode

other than the copyvio from gundamofficial.com, that section is just OR/speculation from the series. Also, I highly doubt that section should be under this article(SEED mode is not an artificial enhancement). The section can stay as it is for a while, but must be tagged to inform readers. Citations should be added or a massive deletion of speculated material will occur. MythSearchertalk 14:34, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Since it appears no one did it, cleaning up that part now, because it's unverified and VERY debatable. 128.186.229.60 21:20, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Question

What in all the hecks is "genetic saturation"?? Noclevername 07:45, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] cosmic human enhancements

I think naturals are the people came from earth (if it doesn't have enhanced traits) in common sense, compare to coordinators, they're came from PLANT, do have enhanced traits. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 58.69.69.67 (talk) 12:13, 13 April 2007 (UTC).

Wrong, simply wrong. Look at Sahaku twin, they're from Earth but have genetic engineered, so they're coordinator. It doesn't matter where you come from, it's how you got your gene. L-Zwei 13:36, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

How about Flay Allster, Mu La Flaga, and Murrue Ramius, where they born?, I know heliopolis, but aren't came from Earth, or in space? For ex. PLANT, Heliopolis. Wait a minute, I have to ask, who is the first natural that came from Earth live in space? If I was wrong, would be coordinator like George Glenn, or not? And who is the Coordinator-inventor? Like Ulen Hibiki, inventing Kira Yamato and Canard Pars to be Ultimate Coordinator Brothers, if Canard is being successful like Kira. I know Canard failed, just for example. Naturals is the plural for natural, meaning it is the nature that came from Earth, of course people like us. Get your point?

My point is simple, read the last sentence above again. L-Zwei 06:41, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

No Coordinator inventor?
