- I disagree. Red links denote articles that will one day be created. This page should remain separate from Canis. It contains a completely different range of data to Felinae - it is a list of species. Verisimilus T 19:20, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Dumpsite for removed species
I'm starting to go through and remove paleospecies no longer placed in Canis. I'll use this section to give current assignments and, if needed, refs on the removals.
- C. anceps synonym of Paratomarctus temerarius
- C. avus now Dusicyon, Lycalopex, or Pseudalopex
- C. condoni synonym of Eucyon davisi
- C. ensenadensis now Cerdocyon
- C. megamastoides now Nyctereutes
- C. protojubatus synonym of "Dusicyon" avus
- C. temerarius now Paratomarctus
- C. troglodytes now Protocyon
