[edit] Wally Snell and Hal Neubauer
under "Sports/Athletics", i'm not sure if Wally Snell is worth including. Apparently he only played 6 games of Major League baseball. (http://www.baseball-reference.com/s/snellwa01.shtml)
same goes for Hal Neubauer. He only pitched 7 games. (http://www.baseball-reference.com/n/neubaha01.shtml) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 138.251.225.116 (talk • contribs) 19:21, 7 February 2005 (UTC).
[edit] Diana Ross's daughters
Do Diana Ross's small-deal actress daughters really merit listing? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 138.251.225.116 (talk • contribs) 01:21, 5 April 2005 (UTC).
- I don't think so. Including people who are primarily famous because they're someone's son or daughter would make this list huge. (I know I just added Navah Perlman, but she has made it on her own to merit listing.[1]) – flamurai (t) 04:57, Apr 5, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Ted Turner
I think he was expelled. Did he even get a degree from Brown? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 87.196.64.198 (talk • contribs) 23:19, 23 August 2005 (UTC).
- He was expelled after three years, but he did receive honorary baccalaureate and doctorate degrees from the university. According to a 29 April 2004 article in the Brown Daily Herald [2]:
-
- "Ted Turner '60 spent three years at Brown and left without graduating."
- "Turner, who studied classics and economics, was commodore of the yacht club and vice president of the debating union."
- "But Turner was also suspended twice and was ultimately expelled from Brown when he was found living with his girlfriend during his second suspension."
- "In 1989, the University awarded Turner an honorary baccalaureate degree, and in 1993 he received an honorary doctorate." —MementoVivere (talk • contribs) 05:38, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Michael Rubin
- Michael Rubin (2000) - play-by-play announcer of numerous Brown University sports broadcasts on the Brown Sports Radio Network
why on earth does this merit posting??? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.130.233.151 (talk • contribs) 10:21, 18 February 2006 (UTC).
- It doesn't. Go ahead and remove it. NBS525 20:30, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use images
should not be used to decorate this list. See WP:FUC. ed g2s • talk 10:46, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fields Medal Winning Mathematician
I think it would be appropriate to mention Prof. David Mumford, of the Division of Applied Mathematics, who has received the Fields Medal (the math equivalent of the Nobel Prize).
Jonathan.
[edit] Xeno Müller
The Athletics section appears to overlook Swiss-American rower Xeno Müller, who won the men's single sculls event at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and took silver in Melbourne in 2000. --Death Bredon (talk) 11:53, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
