Talk:List of Brazilian writers
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Does "writers" (the last heading) mean "fiction writers"? If so, I'd suggest changing it. I got "chroniclers" from the Portuguese-English look-up at http://www.yourdictionary.com/. —JerryFriedman 19:04, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- I tried to fill in the red names as best I could, but it's a bit bigger bone to chew than I think I can handle. I think I did fairly alright with the poets though. Anyway Brazil is not actually my interest, but I've noticed that major things concerning that nation are almost ignored outright so I decided to try to alleviate that as much as I could.--T. [edit] Notability?
This list has an extraordinary number of redlinks. Either articles should be written, or non-notables should be deleted. Probably both. --jbmurray (talk|contribs) 07:19, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
I would like to appoint that "Diogo Mainardi (1962-)" has not earned a place in this list. NewUser fev/03/2008 18:55h (Brazil).
[edit] Alphabetization
Oh, and the list should be alphabetized by surname, too. --jbmurray (talk|contribs) 09:07, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Reverts
I understand your concern, but I checked. I know most of the Brazilian authors by name and checked when in doubt. Some of the authors were familiar because I AfDed them. Anyway - long story short - all those red links should go. If they are important enough, they would come back as articles.Stellatomailing 08:53, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- OK, go ahead. It's just I recognized at least one: Silviano Santiago, for whom I'd already have thought of writing a brief article. --jbmurray (talk|contribs) 18:01, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- So - I am trying to clean up the article from the various wannabes that had articles and were deleted. If I mess it up, please feel free to re-add anybody you feel I killed without reason.Stellatomailing 15:34, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
