This article should have years of degrees and, if possible, the level of the degree (B.A., B.S., M.A.,M.S., PhD), etc. 4.228.213.207 16:11, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

I've added a slew of people over the last 24 hours, but have not (yet) taken the time to add year and degree program. --Malharden 12:54, 19 July 2006 (UTC) 09:00, 19 July 2006

I think it wouild also be a good idea to include the school or college the person graduated from, in the form of the standard 2-4 character abbreviation. Pzavon 22:01, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nobel Inflation

Not to be overly picky, but two of the eight Nobel laureates listed in this article have no significant ties to B.U., and a third didn't win a Nobel prize at all.

Murray Gell-Mann and Amartya Sen were both nominally visiting professors for a year, but their appointments only involved giving a handful of public lectures and they weren't in residence.

Then there's Steven Untracht, whom the article describes as "1999 Nobel Peace Prize winner with Medecins Sans Frontieres". As the Nobel peace prize entry reveals, the only winner in 1999 was Médecins Sans Frontières itself. No individual shared the prize that year. Given his work for that organization Mr. Untracht surely belongs on this list, but calling him a Nobel laureate when he isn't is pretty lame.

[edit] LaGuer

There's really no reason to include more than what's already written about that person. And we certainly shouldn't be stating things that are highly contentious without sources here. The person's article is the place to discuss his conviction and the evidence relating to it, because it can be properly nuanced and sourced. -- Jonel | Speak 04:08, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
