[edit] OVA
Could someone add some information on the OVA(s) here? It/they get mentioned on the Chiroptera page, but the term "OVA" doesn't even show up once on here. I don't know enough about the OVA to say anything, otherwise I'd add some information myself. --Dinoguy1000 Talk 07:57, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- I believe OVA was a reference to the movie Blood: The Last Vampire. I have changed the Chiroptera article accordingly. --Eruhildo 20:23, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Chart says English Title but these differ than those given by Adult Swim
I don't know if the "EnglishTitle" field was actually generated by translation, as the episodes are often called something else when they appear on Adult Swim here in America. What is the source for the entry's in this field? I'm going to replace the apparant translations with the information on the Adult Swim webpage that lists the English dubbed episode titles. If these titles were made from some actual source than they could be put back in and we could mention what their being called by Adult Swim as well.--Wowaconia 01:07, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Like most LoEs for series not licensed for North America (at the time), those titles were probably lifted from fansubs or done by users; I'd think it's okay to replace them with Sony's official translations once they show up. —TangentCube, Dialogues 19:00, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] U.S. Airdates
Is there any way we can add U.S. Airdates for some of these episodes? I was wondering because I'd like to know where the U.S. series is at.

[edit] Expansion/Merge
I was checking this page and noticed the aritcle Boi Mitsu Garu (Blood+ Episode). I think that the mentioned artlicle in incredibly crufty, but has information that could be notable to this article. I suggest that some of the information, particularly the information of about cuts to the episode, could be usefull to this article. Additonally, the plot summaries in this article could use expansion. BrendantheJedi 00:47, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- All the information under Boi Mitsu Garu (Blood+ Episode)#reception is either ambiguous (which episodes of Paranoia Agent?) or completely inaccurate (there never was anything shown between Riku and Diva, only implied; and a ten-minute cut has never been taken out of a show). That article smacks of being a knee-jerk reaction to "OMG RIKU GOT RAPED", and I see no reason to consider a merge, only an AfD. —TangentCube, Dialogues 05:33, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
I think it belongs Merged just plain do to the fact that any information relating to the show whould be valuable. also at least 3 Paranoia agent episodes have been edited due to sexual or otherwise unsavory content which is why i did not specify. also if Tangent Cube doesn't want to make an article to explain a show then he shouldn't insult other peoples work. Deanostrodamus
- Not everything is important or appropriate for Wikipedia. The "Plot" section is overly descriptive, with all its main points already covered by the short blurb on this list, the "Series importance" section espouses only one point of view, unsuppported by any sources, and the "Reception" section is inaccurate and misinformed, as I have already pointed out. —TangentCube, Dialogues 03:49, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
I say merge what you can scrape out of it. As for the part that says Diva had a shota complex (pedophilia), that has already been discussed here. I have no idea where this stuff should go in the article though. ---- Eruhildo (talk) 21:41, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
Just delete. The episode summaries included in the episode list is sufficient. KyuuA4 (talk) 05:31, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
You cant just leave it out just because it's wrong to say. it's TRUE she likes her chevaliers without facial hair that does'nt mean you just say well it isnt politacally correct and leave it out, i mean what if some unlucky soul reads the suger coated verson of what you all wish to show watches the show and is disgusted! we shoudnt censor the truth. Deanostrodamus —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.15.72.179 (talk) 02:31, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- It's not a matter of whether or not it's politically correct, it's a matter of whether or not it's unsubstantiated hearsay. —TangentCube, Dialogues 03:19, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
So you are say Riku wasn't raped on the episode "a boy meets a girl"? Deanostrodamus
- That's not what I'm saying, and that's not your claim, either. I have said, above, that there was not a graphic rape scene, as you claimed (at the episode article), and I'm saying whether or not Diva likes little boys and/or clean-shaven men exclusively, as you claim, is only your interpretation and therefore not something to add to Wikipedia. —TangentCube, Dialogues 13:21, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Ok ok calm down it's just a cartoon. and besides im judging it as a crime and state of mind if you do it you have it. Deanostrodamus
Only keep if articles for other blood episodes are created, the title isn't even right it should be Bōi Mītsu Gāru. It is a concrete fact that Diva raped him because she later had children. But yes the article is written poorly and isn't even categorized (normally would be Category:Blood+ episodes). 67.163.33.214 (talk) 21:34, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, it is a fact that Diva raped Riku, but that's not what this discussion is about. This discussion is about whether the article in question has any content whatsoever worthy of inclusion that hasn't already been covered. Personally, I don't see any myself. --Dinoguy1000 21:51, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
- I'm fairly certain that any other articles written about Blood+ episodes would not meet WP:FICT. Currently, Boi Mitsu Garu (Blood+ Episode) definitely does not. --Eruhildo (talk) 02:00, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Funny thing is earlier this week i umm made a page for "the world in which we live just click my name to find it. Beware in japanese!!! AND ANYWAY IF IT DOES MEET STANDARDS FIX IT DONT SIT HERE AND ARGUE ABOUT IT. Deanostrodamus
- If it meets standards. The point is that it doesn't, and possibly can't. —TangentCube, Dialogues 02:02, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- If you don't want to help the cat that 's been run over then don't stand there and POKE IT. Deanostrodamus the Mystical 13:08, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
-
- Yes, let's get the cat off the road entirely. —TangentCube, Dialogues 13:55, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Can the other articles be merged in too, if that's the concensus? There is also at least Oretachi no Iru Sekai (Blood+ Episode). Rich257 13:42, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Merge any and all. It is already well established that individual episodes of shows rarely meet notability requirements (see WP:N and WP:FICT) and failed WP:PLOT. I've yet to see any survive AfD. I've already fixed both to redirect to the main article (and any others found). If someone wants to use them to fill out this article with better episode summaries, their histories are still available. If the redirects are undone, I'll go ahead and AfD since they never should have been created in the first place. Collectonian 09:45, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Long summaries
I mean no offense to Collectonian, who has been working on episode summaries lately, but aren't the new ones a bit too large? I agree that most of the old ones are too short, but on a screen at 1024x768 res the shortest of the new ones is 8 lines long. If all the summaries are going to be like this, the page will be huge - unless we split this article up into four lists by season, like what they did with the Bleach episodes. I'm ok with shortening or splitting (though I think I might prefer the splitting if it's done well). What I don't want to see is this page becoming way too long. --Eruhildo (talk) 19:25, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
- Splitting for 12/13-episode seasons seems excessive to me, unless there's really a need to make the summaries as long as those in List of Samurai Champloo episodes 1-12 and List of Samurai Champloo episodes 13-26; I'd say trim them, even if split (in 25-episode chunks), given the example of the Bleach and Naruto lists. —TangentCube, Dialogues 19:39, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
- I wouldn't want summaries as long as that...wow, those are longer than some full film plots :P Actually, I think those may be borderline copyright violations. I know I've seen some discussions of late talking about plot summaries that are too long violate fair use. Collectonian (talk) 19:57, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
- No offense taken. :) I've been trying to keep them as short as possible while still covering the important parts of the episodes, but I know I can be long winded (curse of a writer), so if someone spots opportunities for shortening, feel free to let me know or hack away. I have also been thinking about splitting into four season pages (I'd rather go seasons than do the arc thing Bleach does, as seasons is more in keeping with the relevant MOS' and arcs could be argued as OR unless formally published as such). With 50 episodes, even if the summaries are kept to just 4 lines (2 is too short, I think), that is still going to become a pretty good sized page. It's already 35k long, and I've only done a few summaries so far and only original Japanese DVD info is included.
- So, would the idea be that this page could have the over all season list with short summaries of each season's events and the show's DVD release info, with the individual season pages having the full episode lists and summaries and maybe reaction and production info for each season (if sources can be found)? Something like that? Collectonian (talk) 19:57, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

- Around 1000 characters per summary would be fine for one page; it's about 7 to 7-1/2 lines at a screen width of 1152px, which is far more than what's currently in featured anime episode lists. I don't see a need for a split, honestly; it's only 50 episodes, compared to those long shōnens. —TangentCube, Dialogues 00:27, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
