Talk:List of BDSM organizations
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wikipedia's stupid "spam protection filter" prevents me from adding the external link for the American women-only BDSM organisation Lesbian Sex Mafia (address: http://www, lesbian, sex, mafia, .org) even though it was already in the article before I edited it. I haven't visited the site but I trust it's a BDSM support organisation for women and not a mainstream porn site. JIP | Talk 10:27, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

We would like to link to have our site added to this page.
Discription of site: Passions of the Mind is a pansexual organization for people who embrace alternative lifestyles including, but not exclusive to: BDSM, fetishes, and other forms of play. We provide a safe place for like-minded individuals to gather to laugh, talk, share, learn, and most importantly, play! We encourage open-minded people of all kinks to join us for play times, meetings, munches and educational events.

[edit] Entries without articles or external links?
Entries without either articles or external links should probably be removed. JIP | Talk 09:25, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Deletion?
The article List of transgender-support organizations was recently deleted, and now List of transgender-rights organizations is up for deletion. Please weigh in on the discussion there, as the outcome will inevitably set a precendent for this article as well. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of transgender-rights organizations. ntennis 23:33, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- Update: the List of transgender-support organizations deletion discussion has been re-opened. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of transgender-support organizations. ntennis 02:39, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia is not a link farm
This list is acting as a directory of BDSM organizations that don't even have articles. We definitely need to prune this down. Any suggestions? (If there are none, I'll just remove the red links). --Wafulz 03:13, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- OK by me. It'd also serve to make the list more geographically equal. Currently aboute 97.66% of the organisations are in Merka, and 2.34% are anywhere else. JIP | Talk 08:24, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
I think we're close to only listing the bare minimum of BDSM organisations. We currently have eleven organisations - eight from USA, and three from the rest of the world. That is 72.73% in the USA vs. 27.27% anywhere else. It's not quite as bad as the 97.66% - 2.34% thing above but not far away. Trimming the list further will be difficult - I've already proposed both Datenschlag and Black Rose (BDSM organization) for deletion, and both were de-prodded with an argument of type "are you kidding?".
