Where is the introduction to the article explaining what an Ashkenazi Jew is? (personally, I do know, but other people browsing the article may necessarily not)

[edit] Jerry Seinfeld
Seinfeld is half Ashkenazic, as far as I know. Should I add him?
[edit] Sources, citiations needed!
Why in this article we don't need any sources and citiations, and f.e. Americans by ethnicity. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kowalmistrz (talk • contribs) 20:55, 31 December 2006 (UTC).
[edit] I'd reconsider these too-broad lists...
It looks like this article and other too broad lists involving HUGE numbers of Jews (List of Sephardic Jews, etc.) were started, worked on for a little while, and then abandoned. Obviously this list will never come close to even being 50% complete, so I ask: what is the point of even having this list when we have more specific Jew lists to cover most or all of these people? --WassermannNYC 02:07, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
