[edit] What is the point?

What exactly is the point of this page? All the information included here should better be found on one of the category pages, like 'Category:Languages of Africa'. Here we have a big mess of dead links, non-standard spellings etc. Sure this page needs clean-up, but it will be impossible to keep things in shape with the hundreds of languages of Africa...
