Lista civica

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lista civica (literally ‘civic or municipal list’) is the name given to a party list presented at an Italian local election which has no official connection with a national political party and which campaigns on local issues.

Examples include La Tua Bologna (‘Your Bologna’), Lista per Trieste (‘List for Trieste’) Per Parma con Ubaldi (‘For Parma with Ubaldi’, Ubaldi being the mayoral candidate).

Such ‘non-party lists’ are most common in elections at the commune level; they may also be present in provincial and regional elections.
