Lista

Lista is a former municipality in Vest-Agder county, Norway.
The municipality was created as Lista formannskapsdistrikt in 1837. According to the 1835 census the new municipality had a population of 4,213. Parts of Lista with 99 and 64 inhabitants respectively were moved to Farsund municipality in 1903 and 1948.
On 1 January 1965 the rest of Lista was incorporated into Farsund along with Herad and Spind. Prior to the merger Lista had a population of 4,544.
Farsund Airport, Lista has no activity at this time, but there are discussions to use it as a base for offshore operations.
