- Ladan and Laleh Bijani (1974-2003), Iranian, united by the head; died during separation surgery in Singapore
- Pristian Yuliana and Pristian Yuliani, Indonesian twins conjoined at the head (Craniopagus). Dr. Padmosantjojo have successfully separated them at the age of 6 months in Jakarta by 1987. This successful separation is a milestone of neuro surgery history in the world. Right now, Pristian Yuliana and Pristian Yuliani have completed their high school.
- Lea and Tabea Block German twins joined at the head. Tabea died during surgery in the U.S.
- Chang and Eng Bunker (1811-1874), from Thailand, joined by the areas around their xiphoid cartilages, but over time the join stretched; the expression Siamese twins is derived from their case
