List of turnpikes in Connecticut

This is a list of turnpikes built and operated by private companies or non-profit turnpike trusts in the U.S. state of Connecticut, mainly in the 19th century. While most of the roads are still maintained as free public roads, some have been abandoned.

  1. ^ Note: Turnpikes of New England says that the Oxford Turnpike went via Beacon Falls. However, the 1813 map shows it running to Seymour, and an 1852 map of New Haven County by R. Whiteford places a tollgate south of the turnoff to Beacon Falls in Oxford.
