The following is a list of the Major League Baseball players with the highest career total of home runs by birth location. Statistics are current as of June 10, 2008. Players in boldface played at least one game in the major leagues in 2008.

- No player born in Newfoundland and Labrador since it entered Canada in 1949 has played a Major League Baseball game. The only player born in the territory now occupied by Newfoundland and Labrador was 19th century player Jim McKeever, born when Newfoundland was still a British colony (it did not become an independent state until 1907). McKeever did not hit a home run.
- Two players born in Prince Edward Island have appeared in Major League Baseball, both briefly — 19th century player Henry Oxley and 1960s player Vern Handrahan. Neither hit a home run.

- Craig Stansberry is a current player for the San Diego Padres and is the first major leaguer born in Saudi Arabia. He has yet to hit a home run.
- Tom Mastny is a current player for the Cleveland Indians and is the first major leaguer born in Indonesia. He has yet to hit a home run.

- ^ The Canal Zone was a U.S. territory from 1903 to 1979, when it was returned to the Republic of Panama.
- ^ Osborne was born in present-day Alberta while it was still a part of the Northwest Territories. Modern-day territories Yukon and Nunavut were carved out of the Northwest Territories in 1898 and 1999, respectively. No player born in either region, or within the current boundaries of the Northwest Territories, has ever appeared in a Major League Baseball game.
