HMS Truculent Flag of the United Kingdom United Kingdom sunk in collision with oil tanker Davina Flag of Sweden Sweden. A total of 64 crew killed. Submarine later salvaged and scrapped.

  • SS Sand Runner Flag of the United Kingdom United Kingdom ran aground at St. Ives Head. All crew saved. Ship refloated the following day.[1]
