• Washington Irving  United States collided with one of the barges being pushed by the tug boat Thomas E. Moran  United States.

• SS Trelawney  United Kingdom collided with SS Gaelic Prince  United Kingdom in thick fog. All crew saved but the ship's cat perished.^[1]

• City of Bangor  United States stranded on Keeweenaw Point. Crew rescued, cargo salvaged. Ship scrapped in situ in 1942.
