- Washington Irving United States collided with one of the barges being pushed by the tug boat Thomas E. Moran United States.

- SS Trelawney United Kingdom collided with SS Gaelic Prince United Kingdom in thick fog. All crew saved but the ship's cat perished.[1]

- City of Bangor United States stranded on Keeweenaw Point. Crew rescued, cargo salvaged. Ship scrapped in situ in 1942.
