Barque Glenbervie  United Kingdom wrecked at Lowland Point laden with 600 barrels of whisky, 400 barrels of brandy and barrels of rum.^[1]

• SS Camorta  United Kingdom sank in the Irrawaddy Delta with the loss of all 737 passengers and crew.

• SS Thomas Wilson  United States sank in Duluth harbour after a collision with the SS George Hadley. Nine crew killed.
