[edit] Notes
- ^ a b The Census Bureau considers townships as a minor civil division while cities and villages are places. In some cases, the Bureau creates a census-designated place that is identical to the township in order to include it in the list of places. In a few cases, there are tiny discrepancies between the population given for the township and the corresponding CDP, causing them to be listed twice in the statistical data table used as a source for this list. These misleading duplications have been consolidated in this list and the population figures are for the township.
