The Brazilian Federal District (DF) comprises one mesoregion, also named Distrito Federal. It in turn comprises one microregion and one municipality (coterminous), both named Brasília. Unlike other municipalities in Brazil, this one is divided into 19 subdistricts:

3. Candangolândia
4. Ceilândia
5. Cruzeiro
6. Gama
7. Guará
8. Lago Norte
9. Lago Sul
10. Núcleo Bandeirante
11. Paranoá
12. Planaltina

14. Riacho Fundo
15. Samambaia
16. Santa Maria
17. São Sebastião
18. Sobradinho
19. Taguatinga
