List of minor Maryland state highways

In Maryland's state highway system, every state-maintained road is assigned a route number in the state's primary numbering system. This is due to the fact that Maryland does not have a secondary system as with other states. As such, the system contains several routes which are either short connector roads or short former alignments of other routes. Many of these routes are listed below.

Maryland Route 636 (Warrior Drive) connects U.S. Route 220 to Maryland Route 53 in Cresaptown, Allegany County. Because Route 53 ends in a one-way section, traffic traveling from U.S. 220 to Route 53 must use Route 636. The route is 0.28 miles.[1]

Maryland Route 674 is the designation for Sharp Street, a road in Rock Hall, Kent County that runs from Maryland Route 20 west to the end of state maintenance. The route is 1.16 miles [13] long.

Maryland Route 694 (Agricultural Farm Road) intersects Maryland Route 212 and ends approximately 0.10 miles [14] to the north. It is located in Prince George's County and is aligned in a north-south direction.

Maryland Route 695 is the designation of a 19.37 mile [1] stretch of the the "Baltimore Beltway" that is commonly thought to be part of Interstate 695 because both ends terminate into Interstate 695. Following the road counterclockwise it begins in the south at the junction of Interstate 695 and Interstate 97 and continues over the Key Bridge and ends northeast of Baltimore at the junction of Interstate 695 and Interstate 95.

Maryland Route 701 is the designation for Howard Johnson Road, a road which provides a connection between Maryland Route 291 and the ramps to and from northbound U.S. Route 301 in Millington, Kent County. The route is 0.13 miles [1] long.
Maryland Route 701A is the designation for Edge Road, a road which provides a connection between Maryland Route 291 and the ramps to and from southbound U.S. Route 301 in Millington, Kent County. The route is 0.14 miles [1] long.

Maryland Route 703 is the designation for an unnumbered road and a part of Klej Grange Road running from a dead end to Maryland Route 366 in Worcester County. The route is 0.08 miles [1] long.

Maryland Route 715, also known as Short Lane, is a Harford County road, connecting U.S. Route 40 to to the Maryland Boulevard gate of Aberdeen Proving Ground. It is approximately 1.2 miles [15] long and runs northwest-southeast. North of Route 40, it meets the Hickory Ridge Industrial Park. With the planned growth of Aberdeen Proving Ground due to the 2005 round of base realignment and closure, there is some discussion of extending Route 715 further north to a new junction with Interstate 95.

Maryland Route 717 (Water Street) connects the equestrian center with Maryland Route 4 and then on to Maryland Route 725 in Upper Marlboro, Prince George's County. It is approximately 0.33 miles [16] long and is aligned in a north-south direction.

Maryland Route 725 is also named Old Marlboro Pike, Main Street, and Marlboro Pike. It connects county-maintained Old Marlboro Pike to the west with county-maintained Marlboro Pike to the east. The two endpoints are at Brown Station Road (to the west) and US 301 (to the east). It is located in Upper Marlboro, Prince George's County, is approximately 1.86 miles [1] long, and is aligned in an east-west direction.

Maryland Route 726 (Green Landing Road) connects Hunt Club Road with Maryland Route 4PA in Prince George's County. It is approximately 0.28 miles [1] long and is aligned in a north-south direction.

Maryland Route 727 is a former alignment of North Street in Elkton. It runs from present-day North Street to a former grade-level crossing of the Amtrak tracks. The two segments of the route total 0.21 miles [1].

Maryland Route 736 (Braddock Road/Midlothian Road) is an unsigned route that runs from Interstate 68 (exit 33) to the intersection with Park Street and Bowery Street in Frostburg. The route is 1.27 miles.[1]

Maryland Route 743 (Old National Pike) is a former alignment of U.S. Route 40 in Eckhart Mines, Allegany County. The route is 1.00 miles [1] long.

- 769C is also named 52nd Avenue, Quincy Street, and 48th Avenue. It connects Maryland Route 201 near Inwood Street with Maryland Route 201 near Maryland Route 450 in Bladensburg. It is approximately 1.06 miles [1] long and is aligned in a north-south direction.

- 810E (Pine Drive) connects county-maintained Pine Drive with Maryland Route 210K. It is approximately 0.30 miles [1] long and is aligned in a north-south direction.
- 810F (Holly Way) connects Maryland Route 210M with Maryland Route 810G. It is approximately 0.10 miles [1] long and is aligned in a north-south direction.
- 810G (Pine Lane) connects Maryland Route 810F with Maryland Route 210. It is approximately 0.06 miles [1] long and is aligned in an east-west direction.
- 810H (Manning Road West) connects county-maintained Manning Road West with Maryland Routes 210 and 810I. It is approximately 0.11 miles [1] long and is aligned in a north-south direction.
- 810I (Manning Road East) connects Maryland Routes 210 and 810H with county-maintained Manning Road East. It is approximately 0.69 miles [1] long and is aligned in a north-south direction.
- 810J (Livingston Road) connects Maryland Routes 210 and 373 with Maryland Route 210S. It is approximately 0.10 miles [1] long and is aligned in an east-west direction.
- 810K (Bryan Point Road) intersects Maryland Route 210S and ends approximately 0.10 miles [1] east. It is aligned in an east-west direction.

Maryland Route 813F is the designation for Twiford Road which runs from Maryland Route 313 to State Street in Sharptown, Wicomico County. The route is 0.12 miles [1] long.

Maryland Route 815 is the designation for Old Quantico Road, a loop off Maryland Route 349 just west of the city of Salisbury in Wicomico County. The route is 0.72 miles [1] long.

Maryland Route 822 is the designation for UMES Boulevard, a road which connects U.S. Route 13 to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore campus in Princess Anne, Somerset County. The route is 0.85 miles [1] long.

Maryland Route 831 is the secret designation for several former alignments of Maryland Route 36 in northern Allegany County
- 831A is the former alignment of Route 36 near its intersection with U.S. Route 40 Alternate, named Old Mount Savage Road. The route is 0.48 miles long.[1]
- 831C is the former alignment of Route 36 through Corriganville, named Kreigbaum Road. The route is 0.90 miles long.[1]

Maryland Route 834 is the designation for a segment of Hayden Clark Road running from U.S. Route 301 west to Granny Branch Road and White Marsh Road in Queen Anne's County, mostly within the median of US 301 just north of the Bay Country Welcome Center. The route is 0.16 miles [1] long.

Maryland Route 837 is the secret designation for Church Circle, a road that connects Maryland Route 300 to Maryland Route 313 in Sudlersville, Queen Anne's County. The route is 0.12 miles [1] long.

Maryland Route 851 (Main Street) is the original route of Maryland Route 32 through downtown Sykesville. The route is 2.88 miles [19] in length and crosses the B&O main line at a level crossing. The northern terminus of the route has been diverted into a new intersection with MD 32, which has been reconfigured into four-lane divided format. The new intersection provides better access to Springfield Mental Hospital and significantly improves the sighting distances for stopped traffic on MD 32.

Maryland Route 855 is the designation for a loop off Maryland Route 213 in Kennedyville, Kent County. The route is 0.06 miles [1] long.
Maryland Route 855A is the designation for a road running from Maryland Route 213 to a dead end in Kennedyville, Kent County. The route is 0.07 miles [1] long.

Maryland Route 856 is the designation for Old Lynch Road, a loop off Maryland Route 298 in Kent County. The route is 0.10 miles [1] long.

Maryland Route 864 is the designation for a part of Bessicks Corner Road and an unnamed road that forms a loop off Maryland Route 292 in Still Pond, Kent County. The route is 0.11 miles [1] long.

Maryland Route 879 is the number assigned to various old alignments of Maryland Route 91. The longest segment, MD 879D, is a former alignment through Finksburg and crosses MD 140 near MD 91's intersection with the former. The total of all the segments is 2.01 miles [20].

Maryland Route 896 is a short portion of PA 896/DE 896 through Cecil County, Maryland. Although the route passes through Maryland between Delaware and Pennsylvania, there are no signs marking the Maryland section as MD 896 nor are there any Maryland welcome signs at the borders. The route is 0.21 miles [21] long.
In the Maryland State Highway numbering system, this was originally Maryland Route 278, fitting the county-specific numbering of highways, but this number was removed and MD 896 was adopted before 1948 to match the numbering for DE 896 and PA 896.

Maryland Route 911 is the number assigned to First Street between the intersection of Maryland Route 355 and Wootton Parkway and the intersection of Veirs Mill Road and First Street in Rockville, Maryland. First Street is reassigned as Maryland Route 28 after crossing Veirs Mill Road. Route 911 is only about 0.21 miles [22] long, and is aligned in roughly a north-south direction.

Maryland Route 918 is the designation for East Broad Street in Princess Anne, Somerset County, which runs from Maryland Route 675 east to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore campus. The route is 0.22 miles [1] long.

Maryland Route 935 is a former alignment of Maryland Route 36 near Barton, Allegany County. The route is 2.99 miles [23] long.

Maryland Route 937 is a former alignment of Maryland Route 36 near Westernport, Allegany County. The route is 1.53 miles [24] long.

Maryland Route 946 is a north/south connector road which runs from Maryland Route 546 to U.S. Route 40 Alternate in Finzel. The route is 0.61 miles [25] long.

Maryland Route 950 (Garden City Drive) connects county-maintained Garden City Drive with the ramps to and from US 50 (the John Hanson Highway) in New Carrollton, Prince George's County. This road fronts the New Carrollton Metro Station, is approximately 0.22 miles [26] long, and is aligned in a north-south direction.
There are other separate segments of Maryland Route 950:
- 950A (Whitfield Chapel Road) connects county-maintained Whitfield Chapel Road near 91st Place with county-maintained Whitfield Chapel Road near Ebenezer Lane. It is approximately 0.28 miles [27] long and is aligned in a north-south direction.
- 950C (Lottsford Vista Road) connects Lottsford Vista Road with Lottsford Vista Road and Cleary Lane. It is approximately 0.42 miles [28] long and is aligned in a north-south direction.
- 950D (Church Road) is a state-maintained segment within the otherwise county-maintained Church Road. It is approximately 0.34 miles [29] long and is aligned in a north-south direction.

Maryland Route 953 (Glenn Dale Road) intersects Maryland Route 193 and ends approximately 50 feet north of North Lansdale Street in Prince George's County. It is approximately 3.53 miles [30] long and is aligned in a north-south direction.
Maryland Route 953A (Glenn Dale Road) intersects Duvall Street and ends approximately 250 feet north of Maryland Route 564 in Prince George's County. It is approximately 0.15 miles [31] long and is aligned in a north-south direction.

Maryland Route 954 is the designation for three roads in southern Talbot County at the northern end of the U.S. Route 50 bridge over the Choptank River:
- 954A is the designation of Marina Drive, which runs from US 50 to a dead end at a marina along the Choptank River. The route is 0.20 miles [1] long.
- 954B is the designation for Ferry Point Drive, which runs from MD 954A west to Ferry Point Court. The route is 0.05 miles [1] long.
- 954C runs from MD 954A to a dead end. The route is 0.02 miles [1] long.

Maryland Route 963 (Deputy Lane) intersects Hill Road and ends approximately 50 feet east of the intersection, therefore providing a length of about 0.01 miles [32]. It is located in Prince George's County and is aligned in an east-west direction.

Maryland Route 964 (Truman Road) intersects Red Top Road and county-maintained Truman Road, ending the state-maintained segment approximately 500 feet north of the intersection. It is located in Prince George's County, is approximately 0.10 miles [33] long, and is aligned in a north-south direction.

Maryland Route 965 (Kenilworth Avenue) intersects the Washington, D.C. Line and ends approximately 50 feet north of its intersection with S Street. It is located in Prince George's County, is approximately 0.24 miles [1] long, and is aligned in a north-south direction.
Maryland Route 965A (Kenilworth Avenue) the southern end joins a ramp from the interchange of Maryland State Route 210, Interstate 295, and U.S. Route 50; and the north end intersects with the Washington, D.C. Line. It is located in Prince George's County, is approximately 0.09 miles [1] long, and is aligned in a north-south direction.

Maryland Route 967 (Service Road) intersects Colebrooke Drive and ends approximately 150 feet south of the intersection, therefore providing about 0.03 miles [1] of length. It is located in Prince George's County and is aligned in a north-south direction.
There are other separate segments of MD 967:
- 967A is also named Old Branch Avenue and Bedford Way. It connects Maryland Route 5 with Maryland Route 414. It is approximately 0.98 miles [1] long and is aligned in a north-south direction.
