List of lightning rod patents
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Below is a list of lightning rod patents (or lightning protector patents). These lightning rod patents describe devices that are part of lightning safety to protect tall or isolated structures (such as the roof of a building or the mast of a vessel) from lightning damage. These include patents on lightning finials, air terminals, lightning conductors, lightning arrester, or lightning discharger; also, lightning protection system patents in general are included. The United States Patent Office labels "Lightning protectors" in Class 174 (Electricity: conductors and insulators), Subclass 2 (Lightning protectors) and Subclass 3 (Rods).
