  • Kibbutz Ketura. A kibbutz on the Israeli side of the Arava Valley, where religious and non-religious Jews live together in a consciously egalitarian community.
  • Neve Shalom or Wahat al-Salam (meaning "Oasis of Peace" in Hebrew and Arabic). A community of about 50 families, drawn from Jewish and Arab citizens of Israel, that has established a bilingual and multicultural village between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
