- The Prime Minister in movie The Dish. Fond of liquid lunches. Party unknown - possibly Liberal Party of Australia. Played by Bille Brown. (NOTE: The genuine historical Prime Minister during the time the movie is set was John Gorton, a Liberal.)
- Mr. Seaton in movie and novel On the Beach. Played on film by Bill Hunter.
- Andy, in "Bart vs. Australia", an episode of The Simpsons. Likes to sit naked in a rubber ring in the middle of a billabong.

- Sir Les Patterson, Minister for the Arts (or the "Yarts" as he pronounces it) and later Minister for Sport. Played by Barry Humphries in various media, including a film (Sir Les Patterson Saves the World).
- Charlene Wills, Victorian Minister for Industry in the novels Stiff and The Brush Off by Shane Moloney. Australian Labor Party.

- Tony Dunne, Australian Labor Party member in TV show Corridors of Power. Removed from ALP front bench due to reshuffle - later declared he was leaving the party but died before he could tell anyone. Wife Tania presumably won his safe seat. Played by Jeremy Sims
- Michael "Mick" Fielding, Liberal Party of Australia member in TV show Corridors of Power. Bumbling fool; avowed monarchist and John Howard supporter, who won his seat when his father, the previous MP, died. Played by Philip Quast.
- Gabrielle Kovich, regular character in The Secret Life of Us, was elected to the House of Representatives in the third season finale
- Wally Norman, MP in The Honourable Wally Norman (film)
