List of female climbers
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
list of female climbers includes both mountaineers and rock climbers, since many (though not all) climbers engage in both types of activities. The list also includes boulderers and ice climbers. For male and female climbers, see List of climbers. It is evident from the presence of many female climbers in the top elite of mountaineering achievements that there is no distinction in the capability of either gender in this sport. As such, this separate listing of female climbers should not be taken to suggest a different category of skill or effort - either greater or less than male climbers. The aim of this list is to increase the visibility of female climbers.
