This is a list of dance style categories. These categories are not mutually exclusive and are context dependent i.e., a particular dance may belong to several categories.

This style can incorporate all forms of dance to create visual effects primarily for entertaining at halftime shows. Poms is done with teams of 6 to 45 people and is one of the most public forms of dance. Competition is fierce in this field and performers are not only judged on form, but also on team uniformity, showmanship, precision and choreography.
