This is a list of Irish butterflies, past and present.
Note that details on specific species are relevant to the Irish populations and some details may not be consistent with the species in other parts of its range. Note that the English language pages on the butterflies listed are very incomplete and refer to the insects in England not to the species. The German pages are very much better even if you don't read German.
