List of biosphere reserves in Australia

Map of Australian places specially recognized by the UNESCO as of 2003 A.D.. The blue symbols mark the biosphere reserves, the green signs represent reserves which belong to the natural World Heritage, and the orange emblems refer to cultural World Heritage sites. Circels with two or three colours belong to two or three of the categories, respectively. Some 'sites' consist of several separate parts and are therefore represented by more than one symbol. The bracketed numbers in the legend give the number of sites of each category as listed by the UNESCO around 2003 A.D..
