- 1827 Battle of Monte Santiago - A naval division of the Brazilian Imperial Navy is attacked by Argentinean vessels. The battle ended with the destruction of the attacking forces.

- Grass Fight November 26 - Texians, thinking a Mexican pack train is carrying silver, capture it but only end up with grass.
- Siege of Bexar (October 12 - December 11) Texians successfully besiege and defeat Mexicans.
- Dade Battle December 23 108 American troops were ambushed by about 180 Seminole Indians. Colonel Dade, who was on horseback, was the first to be killed. Only three American purportedly survived the attack. Two of these survivors died shortly after.
