- ABN AMRO Pakistan has finally acquired Prime Bank Pakistan at a price of Rs. 54 per share.
- Barclays is looking towards Bank Al Falah and Faysal bank for its possible entry into Pakistan. Earlier the MCB Bank on 8th February denied report that Barclays is interested in acquiring the bank in Pakistan.
- BNP Paribas is also likely to start operation in Pakistan and is evaluating possibilities to do so.
- Qatar Islamic bank is looking to expand its operation in Pakistan in the cities of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
