- CH-148 Cyclone Contract signed and delivery expected between 2008 and 2010 - replace aging SH-3 Sea King on ships and on land

Transport
- Lockheed Corporation CC-130J Hercules tactical transport aircraft - to replace aging C-130 Hercules E and H series
Fixed-Wing Search and Rescue Companies expected to bid include:
- Alenia, L3 Communications., Lockheed, and Rolls Royce’s C-27J Spartan - contender to replace de Havilland Canada DHC-5 Buffalo
- EADS-CASA’s C-295 - contender to replace de Havilland Canada DHC-5 Buffalo
- Bombardier’s DASH 8
However Canada plans to use its C130H models to replaced the C130E models currently being used as the Search and Rescue aircraft.
Patrol
- Raytheon Sentinel (based on Bombardier Global Express) to replace CP-140 Aurora and CP-140A Arcturus
Fighters
- CF-35 Lightning II( No contracts have been signed yet but Canada plans to buy 120 F-35 conventional-take-off-and-landing aircraft and replace all the CF-18 Hornets by 2017)
