- On November 19, 1981, Police Inspector Pritam Singh Bajwa and Constable Surat Singh of Jalandhar were gunned down. The Punjab Police was looking for Kalasinghian and his accomplices, when on the morning of November 19, 1981 an encounter took place at Daheru village in Ludhiana district in which two policemen were killed and all militants hiding in a house of Amarjit Singh Nihang managed to escape. Those who were named in the FIR at that time included Wadhawa Singh (present chief of Babbar Khalsa now based in Pakistan), Talwinder Singh Parmar, Amarjit Singh Nihang, Amarjit Singh (Head Constable), Sewa Singh (Head Constable) and Gurnam Singh (Head Constable). This is believed to be the first act which gained Babbar Khalsa and its chief Talwinder Singh Parmar notoriety. [1]

- On January 8th 1990, Khalistan Liberation Force in co-operation with Babbar Khalsa, killed Inspector Gobind Ram in a bomb blast. Their reason was that they claimed that Gobind Ram killed innocent Sikh people. However it is widely believed that they were financed by Pakistani spy agency ISI

- On September 7th 1991, 8 Babbar Khalsa millitants had an encounter with several hundreds of CRPF soldiers near the village of Moujiya. Millitants caused much damage to CRPF. On the millitants side 3 were killed: Bhai Khem Singh Babbar, Bhai Paramjeet Singh Babbar and Bhai Gurmail Singh Babbar. The encounter dured 24 hours.

- On 31 August 1995, Dilawar Singh Babbar assassinated Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh in a suicide bomb attack at the civil secretariat in Chandigarh.[2] Dilawar claimed allegiance to the Babbar Khalsa and four other members of the Babbar Khalsa were named responsible for the killing.
