List of Waterloo Road episodes

The following is a list of episodes for the British BBC television drama, Waterloo Road. The series began with its first series on 9 March 2006 and ran for a total of eight episodes. In 2007 a second series of a further 12 episodes was broadcast. Popular with viewers, a 3rd series was commissioned not long after. The longest yet, the 20 part series began on BBC One on Thursday 11 October 2007 but on BBC One Scotland on Sunday 7 October 2007 at 8:00pm. In December 2007, it was confirmed that a fourth series of another 20 episodes will air late 2008, bringing the total number of episodes to 60.

Jack wonders about the sudden improvement in the grades gained by Steph's French class.

Lorna tries out a sexy new image in a bid to catch Tom's attention, while Head of English Grantly Budgen suspects one of his students may be taking drugs and approaches Andrew for help. Chlo takes drastic action to convince everyone she was driving on the night of the crash, and Steph stages a break-in to get rid of the suspicious coursework and avoid losing her job.

Jack decides the time has come to shag Steph , but his task doesn't quite go to plan when she threatens dire reprisals unless he rethinks his actions. The staff organise an open day in a bid to impress the inspectors, but events take a turn for the worse when gay pupil Rory starts a petition against homophobic bullying. Holly wakes from her coma, and Chlo rushes to her bedside in the hope of finding out what she remembers from the crash. Andrew asks Jack why Steph hasn't been sacked, while Lorna catches Tom and Izzie together.

Lorna remains heartbroken over Tom and Izzie.

The burger van continues to sell fatty foods outside the school gates, despite Siobhan lying in hospital due to a drug overdose. Tragedy strikes for Izzie, Andrew decides to take the job in Rwanda and asks Kim to go with him and the school tries to deal with the issue of creationism that begins to spread due to the Sixth Form's new sponsor.

As the gates open for a new term at Waterloo Road the school is firmly in the spotlight following the murder of drama teacher, Izzie Redpath. Although Jack has won a national bravery award, he secretly blames himself for Izzie's death. Meanwhile, Tom is still reeling from the loss of Izzie and blames Jack for playing the hero that night. Now a single dad to Chlo and Mika, Tom's plunged into another family crisis when he finds out Chlo and Donte have secretly taken off to get married. He races to the registry office - will he get there before they exchange vows?

The school, is under the grill as Maxine and Janeece are revealed to have scammed the whole Waterloo neighbourhood out of hundreds of pounds. Donte and Clo take a big step in their relationship, but does Clo have feelings for Brett, of course she does! Other relationships are at stake as Jack and Steph get cosy.

Matt panics when his mother, Susan, announces she is arriving at his flat, and hurriedly removes all traces of Colin. Eddie, meanwhile, wants Jasmine to fight Michaela's bullying allegations, but she can't face the Governors' meeting later that night. At school, Tom and Grantly find all the light bulbs have been removed. Wannabe eco-terrorists Mika and Brett confess to taking them, and want their plans to make the school green taken seriously. Elsewhere, some of the sixth formers are on work experience at Colin's company. Matt tells Colin he wants him to move out for a few days, and is overheard by Maxine, who sends a text message back to school. The kids are all fired up, and Chlo has caught the eye of entrepreneur Dikran. Colin tells them they shouldn't let other people stop them going for what they want – a point not lost on Matt. Their relationship is over. Back at school, Matt has been "outed" and some anti-gay graffiti is discovered in the toilets. Dominic is caught red-handed, but he tells Matt why he wrote the graffiti. Humbled by Dominic, Matt decides to face up to his mother. Elsewhere, Eddie gathers some ammunition for the Governors' meeting and, when evidence of Michaela's bullying is shown, Jasmine is cleared. Stuart Hordley, meanwhile, gives Rachel an envelope of newspaper cuttings from her past. At home, Matt is devastated his mother knows he is gay but can't face reality. Eddie later comes across the envelope Stuart handed to Rachel while rummaging in the office and, looking inside, he gets the biggest shock of his life.

It's the last day at Waterloo Road for supply teacher Wilson Bingham. Tom is not happy to see him go, because he's a great teacher. Grantly's unhappy, meanwhile, when he's asked to supervise the bad boys alongside Aleesha and Danielle as they cater for the Governors' AGM lunch. Janeece has fallen for Wilson big time – and it appears that he feels the same about her. Wilson tells Janeece he's booked a hotel room in Manchester, but Steph overhears something. Knowing Steph's on to him, Wilson texts Janeece: it's time for them to be alone together. In the kitchens, things are going with a bang. Grantly's had enough, but when he learns of a free, slap-up meal, he's determined to pull off the AGM lunch. Elsewhere, Eddie has found out about Rachel's past. She admits the truth, and the blackmail, but property developer Hordley's bid was still the best. Eddie feels he has no choice – either she reports Hordley, or he resigns. Wilson and Janeece disappear and, when the teachers find out Wilson is an imposter, the police are called. Then Donte drops a bombshell on Chlo – he wants a divorce. In Manchester, Janeece can't believe the classy hotel Wilson has booked. She's over the moon, but Wilson gets what he wants and leaves her. Alerted by Janeece's call, Steph, Tom and the police race to the hotel. Janeece tells the police she saw a sticker for a caravan park in Wilson's car. No-one is home when they get there but, when Steph realises the kettle is still warm, Tom knows that Wilson can't be too far away.

Mika takes her eco-warrior plans to another level, with Brett, on the building site of the new Training Centre. Oblivious, headmistress Rachel counters Eddie's plans to resign by winding him up. His mood later worsens when Steph shows him a bounced cheque from Hordley. Rachel leaves Tom to deal with Mika, and says if he doesn't get through to her she faces exclusion. Leon, Mika's internet eco-guru, pitches up and they climb the threatened trees. Tom's incensed but Mika tells him to get lost, and Leon and his cronies smash the classroom windows. Elsewhere, Chlo admits she wants Donte back. Maxine's advice is to make him jealous, and Chlo looks hot when she goes on a lunch date with Dikran. Donte can't keep his eyes off her. At lunch, Chlo's inspired by Dikran to set up her own hairdressing salon. When he fails to get through to Mika, Tom storms off and bumps into Davina but is annoyed by her flippancy. Davina has a bad feeling about her relationship with Tom. Eddie, meanwhile, takes a hard line with the pupils, but Mika won't give up the fight – it's now personal and she sees Tom as enemy number one. She lashes out when Tom tries to climb the tree, and he falls to the ground. Hysterical, Mika tells Tom she's sorry. Tom tells both girls he doesn't want to stop them doing what they care about and he's going to be spending more time with them – consequently freezing Davina out. Rachel asks Eddie to stay, but he can't get over the blackmail. Rachel's in turmoil and calls the council. Eddie can't hide his relief, but is she being honest with him?

Sameen breaks into the school at dawn, changing from her pyjamas into a football kit. Meanwhile, Eddie is furious – Rachel hasn't called the council regarding crooked Stuart Hordley. She's not prepared to destroy everything she's worked for. On the football field, Sameen throws a strop. A worried Tom speaks to Rachel, and Sameen is sent to the cooler when she refuses to explain herself. Elsewhere, Chlo is advertising her hairdressing venture. When Tom finds out she's missed an essay, he's furious. Maxine has a plan, however – they'll copy essays off a website. Tom is taken aback by Davina, who knew about Chlo's hairdressing but didn't tell him. Immigration officials arrive and it transpires that Sameen's family is to be deported; Sameen has run away. Rachel lies and the officials leave. In the cooler, Rachel tells a petrified Sameen they'll fight for her. Elsewhere, Eddie warns Hordley off both the contract and Rachel. He later discovers that Bolton Smilie has been working illegally for Hordley. Eddie persuades Rachel to lure Hordley to the school. The immigration officers return. Sameen, Aleesha and Danielle barricade themselves inside the changing rooms. Eddie squeezes through the barricades; Sameen needs to be clear about the choices she has to make. She's confused – she'd have no prospects in Iran but can't enjoy her life when she doesn't know what's happening to her family. Tom and Davina, meanwhile, can't resolve their problems – she'll always feels like an outsider. They know it's over. Later, Hordley pitches up at Rachel's office and Eddie shows him the evidence on the illegal child labour. Hordley taunts Rachel, and Eddie loses it. Eddie thinks that's the last they'll see of Hordley, but Rachel's not convinced.
