List of Tsubasa Chronicle episodes

This article is a list of the episodes of Tsubasa Chronicle, an anime TV series, and its sequel, Tsubasa TOKYO REVELATIONS, an OVA series, both based on a manga series, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, by Clamp. The Tsubasa Chronicle TV series began airing in Japan on April 9, 2005, at 6:30pm on the NHK TV Network in Japan, with its first season concluding on October 15, 2005. The second season began on April 29, 2006 and concluded on November 4, 2006. The first and second seasons both contained twenty-six episodes each, and the Tokyo Revelations OVA had three episodes, making the total episode count fifty-five episodes. During many such episodes, we see the characters from XXXholic, another series from CLAMP.

Syaoran is an archaeologist that studies the ruins in the Clow Kingdom. He has a best friend named Sakura. Sakura thinks and feels more than a friend to Syaoran. She loves him, but before she will tell her feelings to him, she already forgets about him because all her "feathers" (feathers that contain her spirit, memory and heart) are scattered in other worlds. Syaoran's mission is to collect all Sakura's feathers and to help her regain her memory begins. | |||

Transported to the world of the Dimensional Witch, Syaoran, Kurogane, and Fay ask the Dimensional Witch, Yūko Ichihara, to grant their wishes. Syaoran's wish is to travel to many worlds to restore the memories of Sakura; Kurogane's wish is to return to his own world; and Fay's wish is to travel to different worlds to avoid his own. Though their intents are different, the theme is the same and that is to travel between different worlds. However, they must all pay a price before their wishes can be granted. Kurogane's payment is his sword; Fay's payment is the tattoo on his back; and Syaoran's payment is his relationship to Sakura by Sakura losing her memories of Syaoran. Though hesitant about their payment, they pay up and are given Mokona Modoki to travel to the next world. After coming to, the group find themselves in the middle of a gang war but instead of modern weapons, everyone is fighting with a special technique called a 'kudan'. | |||

Sorata and Arashi Arisugawa find Syaoran, Fay, Kurogane, and Sakura (still unconscious but getting better) and take them to their apartment building. After some rest and changes of clothes, the three go around town looking for Sakura's memory fragments (the feathers). However, Kurogane spots someone who looks like Princess Tomoyo and chases after her. After losing sight of the girl as well as Syaoran and Fay, Kurogane meets the gang from before and a fight breaks out. | |||

Sakura wakes from her sleep and is checking out the town. However, she wakes up without Syaoran, Fay, Kurogane, and Mokona knowing it until it was too late. Things get worse when the leader of the invading gang recognizes her from his encounter with Syaoran and concocts a devious scheme using Sakura to threaten Syaoran to join his gang. This does not happen in the manga. | |||

Masayoshi and Mokona have been kidnapped by Primera as she leaves a challenge for Syaoran, Fay, and Kurogane. Though they run into some communication trouble since Mokona acts as a translator for them, they make it to Hanshin Castle. Fay decides to fight in Syaoran's place as he reveals his Kudan which allows him to fly and a battle between Fay and Primera breaks out. | |||

Syaoran and Shōgo begin their unfinished fight. As the fight continues in Syaoran's favor, Masayoshi and Primera are in danger as a result of their fight. However, Masayoshi's Kudan saves them but grows to a tremendous size as Mokona senses that Sakura's feather is in Masayoshi's kudan. Masayoshi's kudan then attacks the town and becomes unstoppable. Masayoshi pleads with Syaoran to help him stop his kudan from damaging the town by taking Sakura's feather out of the body of the kudan. Then Syaoran and the gang go toward a new world. | |||

Arriving in the next world, Syaoran and the gang get harassed by the son of the lord there and his thugs. Shortly after that, they meet a young girl by the name of Chu'nyan who chases the thugs off. When the son runs home to his father, Syaoran realizes that his source of power is one of Sakura's feathers enclosed in a ball. Due to the weird clothing that Syaoran and company are wearing, Chu'nyan mistakes them for Amen'osa, or secret investigators from the government sent to the many kingdoms to right wrongs, and takes them to her house. After a long talk with them, she realizes that they couldn't possibly be Amen'osa, and she tells them about the evil lord of the area and how he murdered her mother. Later on, the young lord and his thugs burn down a towns person's house because he didn't pay taxes. After a fight between them and Syaoran, Chu'nyan's only keepsake from her mother, her magical fan, ends up getting destroyed by the lord's son. | |||

Fay and Kurogane decide to storm the castle even when Chu'nyan tells them that powerful secret arts protect it. Chu'nyan, Syaoran, and Sakura visit the resistance in town against the lord. Sakura is drawn towards the castle and mysteriously disappears inside. Syaoran goes in after her and there they meet all the townspeople that have been imprisoned and have changed to look like monsters. Sakura and Syaoran are then back in front of the gates of the castle because of a mysterious presence. They tell the villagers what happened to the others sucked in from the gate. Kurogane and Fay decide not to storm the castle but to think of another method. The villagers decide to fight once more. | |||

This episode reveals another one of the tyrant lord's aces in the form of a mysterious female secret arts user. Before that is revealed, the episode reveals how determined Syaoran is in getting into the castle that has Sakura's feather inside. Though he was hurt from the previous battle, he still plans to go inside. | |||

The villagers of Koryo storm the castle as Chu'nyan follows Sakura; meanwhile, Syaoran continues to battle the son of the lord and Fay fights the witch with Kurogane. Kurogane unintentionally frees the witch from her imprisonment set by the master of the country. Chu'nyan learns that her mother's spirit is temporarily inhabiting Sakura's body and Chu'nyan comes to understand the true meaning of the secret arts (one kind of magic). Her mother gives her own secret art mirror to Chu'nyan and departs from Sakura's body. | |||

The villagers tried to attack the Ryanban's castle and are now under his control. To make matters worse, Syaoran sees that Chu'nyan and Sakura are trapped in a bubble and learns that if he attacks the villagers, the girls will feel the effects tenfold! But his determination gives him an edge in the fight as he finds out that the girls trapped inside the bubble are not the real Sakura and Chu'nyan. | |||

In our next world our heroes find no people and no buildings. All that's there is a huge lake in which Mokona senses a powerful force. Syaoran dives in to take a look. When he resurfaces Sakura catches him up in her strange memory. Syaoran goes back under water, and while he's gone Sakura has a strange encounter with a creature from the lake. "Why are you here, What are you doing here?" it asks, and as she struggles with this answer, she passes out. In her unconscious state she recovers a memory from when she first met Syaoran. Syaoran has a flashback of his own back to when he attended Sakura's birthday party. Since Syaoran has no memories from the time before Fujitaka became his father, Sakura made it so that his and her birthdays would be on the same day. Sakura regains her consciousness and Syaoran takes her to the bottom of the sea to see a spectacular miniature city. This occurrence reminds Syaoran of the time when Sakura showed him the white birds from the top of the castle. Mokona informs everyone that there's no feather in this world and they leave for the next one. | |||

The friends end up in a new world where there is an old legend story about a golden haired princess who possessed a feather with magical powers and they are convinced that it belongs to Sakura so they go to a forbidden castle with a deep river surrounding it to try find some children that were abducted. While they are in town, they are taking refuge in the house of a kind doctor, Kyle. But while everyone is asleep, Sakura sees the golden haired princess and follows her but then she is suddenly put to sleep. Now Sakura is getting the blame for taking the children and Syaoran is worried that she will never come back alive. | |||

Sakura wakes up after fainting and thinks she sees the Princess. Syaoran and the gang go check with Mr. Grosum if he has one of Sakura's feathers. They search his home to find clues of where Sakura is until they're interrupted by Mr. Grosum. Sakura tries to find a way to escape from the room she's in. Meanwhile Syaoran discusses a plan with Doctor Kyle about stalking Mr. Grosum's house. As Sakura escapes, the ghost of the Princess appears to Sakura and tells her a story of a mystical feather came into her possession and how it wards off evil. Syaoran then uncovers the truth and finds out that Dr. Kyle knows where Sakura and the children are. | |||

Sakura tries to escape from the forbidden castle with ghost Princess Emeraulde's help. She also brings the children along with her. Meanwhile, Syaoran and all the townspeople want to hear Dr. Kyle's confession. He then confesses that the kidnapping was his doing and he used the children in order to break the feather free. The children escape from the castle but Sakura is still trapped. Dr. Kyle escapes from the townspeople and decides to grab Sakura instead, but suddenly Syaoran comes to rescue her. The castle begins to tremble as the reservoir from the river overflows. While they confront Dr. Kyle, the wall of the castle suddenly breaks and smashes into the doctor. They are freed as they see the castle collapse, and the townspeople thank the group for rescuing their children. At the end of their journey, they realize that they are being watched by someone who is also interested in Sakura's feather. | |||

The story starts off with a girl being hit with a mysterious beam on her head. Inside the shrine Keefer goes in a saves her from the Guardian of the shrine. The group enters the world in the middle of a tournament in order to see who is the strongest. Syaoran eventually wins the match. But Keefer needs that sacred object that Syaoran won from the tounrament. They both fight to see who gets it, ending with Syaoran giving the sacred object to save the girl. This episode is not part of the manga's storyline. | |||

The travellers arrive in the land of Ōto, city of cherry blossoms, and are greeted by a welcoming party and are advised to register themselves at town hall. They are housed in a former shop, but that night they are attacked by an Oni, which Syaoran defeats albeit getting injured. Syaoran and Kurogane become Oni Hunters whereas Fay becomes the owner of a Café and Sakura becomes the waitress, with assistance from Mokona. | |||

After talking to Yūko, Mokona names the Café Cat's Eyes, a name suggested by Yūko. The group's Ōto aliases are revealed and Kurogane attacks Fay for giving them strange names. Kurogane and Fay find out Syaoran is blind in his right eye. | |||

Kurogane and Fay finish off the Oni but Kurogane ends up losing his sword in the fight and Fay hurts his leg. Sakura and Syaoran meet Ryū-ō and Sōma. After finishing a meal at the Cat's Eyes Café, a strange person who seems to know Syaoran appears along with Oni. Syaoran finds out you can't defeat an Oni above a certain level without a weapon. Kurogane finally realizes that the same people are in different worlds but the way they live and what they do is different. Syaoran asks Kurogane to teach him how to fight with a sword. | |||

Syaoran and Kurogane go to a sword shop. Kurogane buys a longsword named Sōhi (Blue Ice) and Syaoran gets a sword called Hien (Scarlet Flame). After they buy the swords Kurogane tells Syaoran not to unsheath the sword yet because he isn't ready to use it yet. Fay buys a piano for the Café but he doesn't know how to play it. Kurogane begins training Syaoran on how to counteract him being blind in his right eye by learning how to balance between his left and right side. Sakura meets 2 people who look like her brother and his friend. A strange woman comes into the Café and starts asking Sakura where she's from and why she's here. Sakura goes into a trance and the woman starts playing the piano and Sakura starts singing. At the end of the episode Sakura is seen inside an egg shaped pod. | |||

Kurogane tells Syaoran to blindfold himself and walk back to the Café and that he can't take the blindfold off until he can regognise presences. While training Syaoran notices that Oni have the presence of something which isn't alive. Kurogane and Fay leave Sakura at the Café and go to talk to the lady that saw the new type of Oni. They find out that the Oni are created for the purpose of hunting. The new Oni seems to have Sakura's feather, and reveals himself to be Seishirō. | |||

Syaoran starts remebering about Seishirō and that he was the one who taught Syaoran how to fight. Syaoran and Kurogane go to a tower full of Oni to get information on Seishirō. At the top of the tower they find out that Seishirō is not an Oni and that town hall is looking to eliminate him for interfering. They also find out that the highest level Oni is in the form of a human and can command all other Oni. Seishirō shows up at the Café when only Fay and Sakura are there and asks Fay if Kurogane and Syaoran live there. | |||

Seishirō attacks Fay after he asks if Kurogane and Syaoran live there. It is revealed that Seishirō gave his right eye to Yūko to obtain the power to travel between dimensions but unlike Mokona he can only use this power a limited number of times. Fay gets cornered and is defeated. Seishirō uses Sakura's feather and the people in the world start disintegrating like a computer program. When Syaoran and Kurogane get back to the Café they find out that Fay was defeated by an Oni and that Sakura may have been taken captive. When Syaoran finds Seishirō and asks him what happened to Fay, he tells him that he killed Fay. Seishirō stabs Syaoran in the chest with a weapon made from Oni. Syaoran starts disappearing but then Sakura comes running out and hugs him and they both disappear. | |||

Syaoran wakes up inside an egg shaped pod. He hears a tapping on the glass and sees Fay there, smiling, and pointing to another pod which contains Sakura. Sakura then awakens too, and she and Syaoran get out of their pods and greet each other. Syaoran wonders where they are; the place they are in looks very different from the town. The group meet up with a woman whom Fay tells them can explain everything, and she does so. The world of Outo is a virtual reality program in Faerie Park which is a popular game for the residents of the Edonis kingdom. Syaoran sees that Kurogane and Mokona are still asleep in their pods. The woman tells Syaoran that someone is interfering with the program. This person is trying to turn the virtual reality into actual reality. Kurogane, Mokona, Ryuouu and the others appear. Seishiro then also appears and Kurogane fights with him. Before long, the true identity of the ultimate Oni is revealed. | |||

The fight between our heroes and the Oni continues, while Seishirou is told the real truth behind everlasting life in the game. Syaoran climbs to the top of the rollercoaster and tells Seishirou that he doesn't think he will be able to beat him in his current state. However, he has decided to get the feather back; so he draws his sword even though he knows he's not quite ready yet. When he draws the sword, it bursts into flames and the fight begins. Seishirou takes off soon after the fight begins, but when he leaves the Oni are left behind for them to take care of. After finishing them off, Mokona reacts to the power of the item Seishirou used and takes the heroes to the next world. | |||

Syaoran and the group arrive in the next world, where they read a letter from the dimensional witch. It says that Kurogane owes Yuuko double for the present on valentines day. After Mokona senses a feather, Syaoran passes out and has a flash back. When he wakes he finds himself surrounded by Sakura, Fay, Kurogane and Mokona, who tell him what happened. They then follow the old lady who allowed them to stay in her house, and she shows them the temple of the god they worship. She tells them it once used to be on the ground, but half a year ago it it unearthed itself. The god said the first person to reach the top will be granted any wish. Syaoran, Fay, Kurogane, Mokona and Sakura fight their way to the top, and Sakura wishes that all the people who died trying to get to the temple would be brought back to life. |

Tomoyo, owner of the Piffle Princess Company, warns the group that someone is tampering with the Dragonfly Race. The main race begins. Fay is disqualified at the second checkpoint when the rigged Dragon Tube explodes his aircraft. An explosion in the canyons shoots down Ryūō's aircraft, and Syaoran intentionally crashes into him in order to save his life. | |||

Syaoran and Ryūō are both disqualified. Kurogane throws himself in front of an explosion in order to protect Sakura, and is also eliminated. When Fay and Kurogane question Tomoyo about the sabotage, Tomoyo admits that her company had tampered with the preliminaries because she'd wanted Sakura to win so she could get back her feather. Meanwhile, Syaoran and Ryūō discover that the company's president was behind the vicious attacks during the main race. They stop him just when he is about to destroy Sakura's aircraft, allowing her to win the race. At the awards ceremony, the Kyle Rondart the group met in Jade world tries to steal the feather. Mokona stops him, but he manages to warp to another dimension. The group then teleports to the next world. | |||

The group land in a beautiful place. Sakura tells Syaoran what memory she got from the last feather, while Kurogane and Fay talk about how brave Syaoran is. Sakura asks Mokona to call the Dimension Witch for her; she then gives her a hand-made dress as a White Day present. The witch reminds Fay, Kurogane, and Syaoran that they still owe her something too. Mokona senses one of Sakura's feathers, and they find it encased in a horn-shaped rock. Syaoran tries to cut it open; they shortly discover that it is the horn of a dragon which starts to attack them. The group discovers that they have returned to the world where Sakura brought back all the people who died trying to get to the top of the temple. They also find out that the god of the temple said that the people who have been brought back to life will die again on the next new moon. After obtaining the feather, they take it to the shrine to try and keep the people who are disappearing alive. However, the god tells them it is not possible, and Sakura receives another one of her memories. | |||

The group lands in a new world in the middle of the ocean, where they see a ship. Soon they speak to the captain who says that he is short of men and asks them to help him. Syaoran is introduced to a young boy who looks after the ship's engine, and finds out this is a younger version of his father, Fujitaka. Shortly thereafter, huge winds cause massive waves to pummel the ship, and Syaoran and Fujitaka are thrown overboard. They wash up on a deserted island (called Lagosta Island), seemingly in the middle of nowhere. They find some ruins and Syaoran is able to read what is written. The ancient writing warns them of a long, slender being. Meanwhile, Kurogane, Fay, Mokona and Sakura decide to check the island for Syaoran and Fujitaka, who make it through a dangerous cave to get to the other side (and become visible to the ship). As the rescue boat, arrives a long, slender monster attacks them. Kurogane is able to defeat it with one swipe of his sword. The episode ends with Syaoran realizing that the sea monster was what the ruins warned him about. | |||

The quintet arrive in the next world only to find its main technique is magic. They go to a cafe where they meet this world's version of Tōya and Yukito. There they learn that once a year everyone in the town has a dream of one person. That person then becomes ruler of the country, with all their previous memories temporarily erased, for the next year. This year, however, it seems that the new Queen has turned the country into a never ending night. This possesses a problem, because all the magic needs sunlight. The group then plans to storm the castle to find out why the queen won't lift the shield. As their luck goes, they get captured and sent to the dungeon. Fay and Sakura manage to run while Syaoran and Kurogane beat off their attackers. Fay and Sakura reach the top floor and stumble into the room of the Queen. It turns out that this world's Chii is Queen; someone Fay knows her well back in his world. Chii and Fay manage to escape, but they are being pursued by the guardians of the ruler: Kotoko and Sumomo, as well as their magic guards. | |||

They arrived in Country of Shara, to their surprise, they were separated. Syaoran, Sakura and Mokona had being transported into girl's troupe, while Fay and Kurogane being transported into a shrine which only being run by men. The girl's troupe ask Syaoran and the others to join them. While at the shrine, Fai and Kurogane had being ask for assistance by the leader of the shrine to protect the shrine. Then they told both of the group about the tale of Ashura the goddess and Yasha the god when they realized the unique statue of Ashura and Yasha. They realize that there is something else to do with the leaders of both shrines. |

After witnessing the secret meeting of the two leaders Sakura says that she feels sorry about their situaton and they head to the shrine of Ashura to pray for their happiness, before they reach the temple however, an earthquake starts up and the whole country shakes. Outside the shrine Sakura glows and opens the door to reveal the Ashura statue surrounded by flames, where Fai and Kurogane are the Yasha statue is doing the same thing. The sky cracks to open into another world, Suzuran arrives and bends over the statue hoping that the earthquake is not Ashura's fault. Her tears fall onto the statue and it flashes and both statues clear the confusion above their heads so that the other world can be seen clearly, Mokona then transfers them into that world, but they are still separate. Sakura and Syaoran end up on a battlefield with a being who is identical to the statue and who bears the same name. She is fighting with Yasha who is accompanied by Fai and Kurogane. | |||

The group travels to another world. They appear in the middle of a battle. The apposing forces seem to only be allowed on the moon where the battle takes place until the moon is at its zenith. Ashura, the king of one of the sides invites Syaoran and Sakura to her castle. Ashura explains that they are fighting over the moon castle because the one who claims it will have their desires granted. Sakura sleeps and Syaoran takes part in another battle where he encounters Fay and Kurogane. After the battle Sakura kisses Syaoran's painful eye. | |||

On the moon castle Ashura kills Yasha, he fades away and one of Sakuras feathers is left. Sakura joins him on the castle and Ashura explains to them. Yasha had died a long time ago, the feather created an illusion to replace him. When Ashura and Yasha were fighting, Ashura somehow managed to wound him in his eye even though they were equal. This was because Yasha was ill. One day he came to Shura castle. It was impossible to meet him anywhere but on the moon castle. It was his soul, Yasha had died. He came to say goodbye to Ashura before leaving for the next world. Then the feather came to replace him with a mirage. This was painful for Ashura to see him even though he had passed away. Ashura returns the feather to syaoran. She stands up and plunges her sword into the ground to claim the mooncastle to grant her wish. The castle simply begins to crumble because her true wish, to have Yasha brought back can never be fulfilled as there is no way to revive the dead. Syaoran and company make it back but Ashura wishes to stay behind. She makes one last wish to the Dimension witch. To have her and Yasha as the gods of the next world, to prove that not even gods can do everything. Syaoran asks the Ashura clan to bury the two together and not apart as he and the others are taken back to shara. It turns out Fai and Kurogane were pretending to be ones from another world so Syaoran would fight Kurogane to improve his sword skills. They find Shara very different as the two sides are no longer opposing each other, The two statues are together and a wedding is taking place. . . . . . . . . . |

Our group of travellers arrive in the next world, and they suggest that Mokona give the feather he is holding on to to Sakura. However, when Sakura is about the receive the feather, it is blown in the wind, and gets caught on a passing truck. The group then hitches a ride on a tour bus filled with random travellers, whom they all recognize. Each passenger has their own agenda, but all our group wants to do is catch up to the truck ahead of them. At night the bus stops, but a group of gangsters on motorbikes overtake the bus, and threaten to hurt the passengers. Kurogane and Syaoran decide to end their rampage. | |||

Kurogane holds back the motorbike gangsters, while Syaoran takes one of the motorbikes. He struggles to get the feather, but the truck continues to accelerate. Meanwhile, Sakura and the others decided to help them by transforming the bus into a war machine. After much trouble, they defeat the gangsters. Syaoran gets the feather when the truck is stopped at the city. The old man on the bus says that everything that has a beginning must have an end. The bus passengers and Syaoran's group realize that they were destined to be meet. The passengers wave goodbye at Syaoran and the others as they transport into another world. | |||

After his father died in a demon attack and his sickly mother was subsequently killed by the same person responsible for scattering Sakura's feathers, Princess Tomoyo took Kurogane under her care and nursed him back to health. | |||

They search the kingdom for any living things that appear. They realized it is just one of Sakura's memories that being visualized by the power of the feather. Syaoran decided to go into the ruins excavation that he had his research on. He found out the wing symbol which is a door that once had taken Sakura's feather may have a secret. Syaoran and Kurogane decided to go deep behind the door and encountered the guardian of the book. While they battling the guardian, Syaoran's right eye make him go berserk and defeat the guardian. He take the feather out from the book. Kurogane realized there is something wrong is happening to Syaoran. When they come up again, Syaoran give the feather to Sakura. This trigger the library alarm and they decided to free from there. Fai use his 'magic' by whistling, creating the magic barrier in order to protect them and enabling Mokona to transport them into another world. To their surprise, they ended up in Rekord Country. This anime episode is differ from manga which actually this event leads to Tokyo Arc (Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations). | |||

Syaoran and the others are trying to find the way out from the librarian guards. They decided to hide in the library as no one will expect them to be there. But their expectation was wrong because their location can be found by sensing the feathers' power. Kurogane wants to use the Book of Memories on Fay to discover his past, but through a mix-up, Syaoran ends up seing more of Kurogane's past: as he vowed his fifth oath to Princess Tomoyo when she giving the Ginryū to him. The oath is to protect the person that is precious to him no matter what. Kurogane keeps that oath and, together with Syaoran and Fay, they defeat the guard. In the end, the Rekord country ruler gives the feather to them and they apologize for causing so much trouble to them. Syaoran and the others transport into another world after saying goodbye to the people of Rekord. | |||

When they are almost stepped on by Mokona, Kero-chan, the guardian deity of the world saves them. Kero-chan explains that a while back a feather fell from the sky and landed on a mountain nearby and that this feather makes all humans in the world tiny. Since Syaoran and the gang are too small to make a journey up the mountain Mokona and Kero-chan must travel up the mountain and retrieve Sakura's feather. | |||

Kiishimu told them that besides Koryo Country, there's another hidden country that is parallel to Koryo. The gate to go to the opposite world is at the river below the bridge, the same place Sakura possessed by Chun Hyang's mother. Kishiimu said that gate is the best because it has so many magic aura surrounded the area. They transported into Koryo opposite country, realize the people of Kiishim are being controlled by some device. They battling the guards and uncover the real culprit which is son of the lord which rule Koryo Country before, possessing the power of the feather. Syaoran defeat him and takes the feather from his hand. He then being punish by Kiishimu. Kiishimu claim her rightful place as the ruler of Kiishim country. She told Chun Hyang that she had a great battle with her mother on the top of the bridge and admired Chun Hyang's mother for her great magic skill and heart. She also told Chun Hyang that the greatest magic of all is love. Chun Hyang promised herself to protected her country with her magic talent she have and always help people that needed both on Koryo and Kiishim. The group lands in the next world and find that Sakura's feather is being sold at a shop as a brooch. Since the group have no money, they must find jobs in order to earn the 100,000 Yule (Ragtime World's currency) to pay for it and the owner reserves the feather for the group for 3 days. They find however, that jobs are scarce in this city due to a recession. Syaoran, Fay and Kurogane go out to find a job but have no luck. Sakura and Mokona venture out on their own and Sakura manages to find a job working at a restaurant shack called King's Bistro since she has experience from Cat's Eye. However the power suddenly failed and the shop had to let Sakura go. She moves on to a transport company without much success. Finally, she gets a job waitressing at what looks like a shady bar but soon find out that the clientele are very friendly. The bar however, is under threat from a gang who want to take it over. As the gang attack, Syaoran, Fay and Kurogane defeat them as they have been hired as special guards by the owner. Together the gang raised enough money to buy the feather for Sakura. | |||

Sakura asks him to convince her brother to let her travel when she is older. chaos tells her that when she is allowed to travel he will be her companion and will protect her with his life. After Syaoran, Kurogane and Fay lose to Chaos, he uses one of his powers to make an unwilling Sakura go with ihim. But right when he is about to go to another world Sakura starts to cry and he says it is useless to travel with her untull she changes her heart. while knocked out Syaoran has a dream about his clone he then wakes up and when him Kuro and Fai talk about saving the Sakura he thinks about weather it would be better to just let her travel with Chaos. Fai tells Syaoran that maybe for once he should try being selfish instead of doing what he thinks is best for Sakura. Kuro calls the time witch and asks her to lend him ginryuu but she says it is not a request she can complete so instead he gives Syaoran his sword and Fai gives him a magic potion to heal his wounds. Mokona Kisses everyone but Syaoran and tells him that he will get his kiss when he brings back Sakura. | |||

Syaoran goes and trains with Kurogane. Fay and Mokona break into the castle to see Sakura, but when they get there they see the feathers that she was given come back out of her body, as black, not white feathers. Mokona tells her the feathers are fake and she tells Chaos that she thinks he is cowardly to try and control her with fake memories. Chaos sends a challenge to Syaoran. Sakura asks Mokona tell Syaoran that he doesn't have to worry about her, so not to overexert himself. Syaoran goes to the castle to fight Chaos, but after Syaoran throws Chaos' lightning attack back at him, Chaos freezes Sakura's body and soul. Chaos then shows his true form which is that of a giant bird. | |||

You see the man that has been controlling the group's destinations and even weirder you see Sakura and Sayoran in a glass tube with a glass middle and they are separated and trying to get to each other. The battle between Sayoran and the Chaos-bird begins just when Fei Wang Reed tries to take Syaoran over with his clone, Sakura is unfrozen and the Clone closes his eye. Syaoran is given his fixed sword back, and he then combines both his and Kurogane's swords into a larger sword and defeats Chaos. Chaos turns into a bunch of Sakura's feathers and Kurogane asks how many there are. Mokona tells him there are still tons more out there. |

After the second season of the anime was a big disappointment to fans, the anime was cancelled. However, several months later, a three episode OAD (Original Animation DVD) series was made, to properly follow the story of the manga series through the "Acid Rain" Tokyo story arc.

The group arrives in a destroyed Tokyo. Running under cover from acid rain, Syaoran and Mokona run into Kamui and his group. Sustaining minor injuries, Syaoran is rescued by Kurogane, who then fights Kamui to a draw. Deciding that the travellers aren't thieves, Kamui allows the group shelter and receive treatment for Syaoran's wounds. Kurogane speaks to Fay about his past, and then later the group run into Fūma and his group. The Syaoran being held captive by Fei Wang Reed wakes up. | |||

We find out that the Syaoran that has been collecting the feathers so far is a clone, and that the real Syaoran was the one trapped by Fei Wang Reed. The story continues as the awakened Syaoran travels towards his clone. The seal on the "heart" in the clone's right eye is broken, and Fay tries to restore it with his magic, but fails. Fay's left eye is eaten by the clone and battle breaks out between the real Syaoran and the Clone. While this happens the twin vampires are brought/introduced into the story. | |||

The story continues from when Clone Syaoran leaves. The water has drained from the Municipal building and Fay is dying from the loss of his eye that the Clone Syaoran ate. Subaru wishes to have the water restored, while Kurogane wishes to save Fay's life. Fay is fed vampire blood and becomes a vampire, thus saving his life, and the water is restored. The price of the water, however, is that Sakura must seek out a treasure somewhere in Tokyo and, while retrieving it severely injures both her legs. Sakura is saved on her way back by a ghost of herself from the dimension Tokyo is located in (Sakura Kinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura) and makes it back. The people of Tokyo Tower give their feather to the people of the Municipal building in exchange for letting them all live in the building. Yūko reveals that Fei Wong Reed is behind Sakura's lost feathers and their journey across the dimensions, informing them that he needs Sakura to have the memories of many dimensions imprinted upon her body. Sakura decides to find Clone Syaoran, together with others by their own personal reason start to travel into another dimension again, leaving the last feather behind to ward the water and the building to protect the people of Tokyo. |
